    • Was thinking of having bbq chalet but scare this scare that. Like no people come, not enough food, not enough money.

I can solely afford the entire cost of having a bbq chalet despite not working currently but I don't know leh, Haiz..I think my wallet is taking over my thinking..

    • It's ur special day, should do what u are most happy about. Maybe organize a simple dinner outing with ur friends lor..

If u think chalet is gonna burn a hole in ur pocket, then opt for other cheaper options. Anyway chalet is such a common thing for celebrating 21st birthdays.. try something more special...

    • Hmm whoever said that 21st birthdays are celebrated only once..

I would say who celebrates their 22th birthday twice? So I would say it's not really about the rarity but rather mindset. I have many friends around me, mostly females, who have been talking about how they should celebrate their 21st..

It would come across to me as an over hyped thing. True it's a significant day in our life, adulthood as it will signify...But hearing friends talk about a 100 person party or what really baffles me. For me, I spent it in camp with my army mates munching on night snacks..Over just like that..Just another day to me...

Are 21st really that important? Girls, shoot your replies...Let me understand your perspectives.

I quite agree with u.. My 21st birthday is spent quite simple with my friends and I find that is already enough for me. It's really the thought that counts, and not how grand the birthday celebration should be, although it's based on individual's preference.

    • Must celebrate as it is only once a lifetime. Last time i organised a chalet gathering. All cliques were formed, primary, sec, jc, army uni etc. I guess it is better to celebrate individually with different groups.

    • Muz celebrate!!!

It's once in a lifetime! Age once u pass it.. U'll never get it back..

      If cost is a concern..

      1. U can start planning ur savings & budget..

      2. Go for a simple eat out with friends..

It doesn have to cost alot to have lots of fun!!

I tried bbq.. It was extremely tiring more than enjoyin! sad.png

    • I never think its so important to celebrate 21st day and I spent it in an exercise in australia. It was when my buddies found out its my birhtday, drag me to go drink beer with them until i vomit. Although it was simple, but was a warm and memorable one haha.  smile.png

At least someone willing to celebrate with me ;)
