not sure if this makes sense, but do you have a preference for music or bands from either UK or the US?
i tend to think the brits are more creative in the sounds, even in rock. the americans are too formulaic. so i favor UK bands in general.
think queen, led zep, iron maiden and some of the others, there is a lot more uniqueness in their sound.
for instance, one could argue that papa roach sounds like 10 other rock bands of the west coast in the US.
