Today I went for my first driving lesson! Having absolutely no experience and no wadsoever interests in cars, I was totally new to handling a car inside the CDC circuit. It was kinda mind-boggling!!! I was nervous because it was my first time using the steering wheel, handling the clutch and accelerator. Woah...my heart was kinda skipping every other beat because the stupid driver in front of me will sumtimes accidentally brake to a stop with no warning and I would brake too. Then the instructor will diao me.
I was damn worried that I would over step too hard on the accelerator and it would be a michael schumacher gone drunk. How did u all feel first time actually controlling a vehicle? I think with a few more practice will be fine le.
Got a couple of scoldings from the instructor as I was confused about the clutch thingy.I heard from my aunt it was pretty normal and she herself learnt lots of colourful hokkien language from her instructor. I guess mine instructor got give face.

What about first time near accident experience so I can contribute a little.
At the filter left lane an hour ago, the zebra crossing was clear of pedestrians, no incoming pedestrians spotted at the junction either before I proceed to move towards the dotted line.
Traffic on the right was moving straight, so I could've turned without checking for clearance. No incoming cars before I merge into the left lane anyway.
One malay boy came zooming from the frontal left. Almost knocked him over. So I stopped. Not sure whether I should sound my horn, wind down the wind screen and swear at him or do what, so I just stopped, looked at him in utter shock before he picked himself up from his bicycle all the while pointing at the zebra crossing (what the fuck, I am already past the zebra crossing, thank fuck I couldn't hear him at all, would've gotten down and hammered his head with my cigarette box).
I'm done whining but he could've gotten himself injured.
I don't mind having license revoked or getting jailed and fined but he seriously could've died. And it wouldn't have been well worth it. Why suffer from an accident? Especially in a stupid accident like this? Terrible day.

Me first lesson ran into a stupid instructor with absolutely atrocious english. And I couldn't understand a thing he say about half-clutch. I stalled like hell.
Then during my 2nd lesson, it was a different instructor. He's very good but fierce. I immediately got the hang of it and never stalled after that.

Added: Just remember, accelerator can step more, never mind. But must release clutch very slowly and smoothly especially for 1st and 2nd gear.
