    • don't you noticed that for NTUC fairprice cashiers, those young cashiers (who seems to be on temp job) seems to have much better service attitudes compared to those mid-aged aunties?

i hv met many cases whereby those aunties cashiers gave you a bad attitudes like refusing to accept $50 note etc while for those youngsters they serves you with courtesy and smile?

    • well, it depends on how much is your total when you give $50 for change..

so far, my encounters with both temp & perm cashiers have been rather to my expectations..

    • I think generally NTUC fairprice cashiers have no service quality to begin with. They just beep beep your stuff ASAP and off you go.

But I have also met one very nice aunty (and only once) who bothered to greet customers. Very rare, but it did brighten my day a bit.

anyway, most pek chek I've with their cashier isn't w/ e ladies, is e system... of all things, link up w/ NETS system to make process slow

    • Go to Singapore Post Macdonald. Rate them scale of 1 to 10 after you purchase your meals. Someone should highlight this to their top management. SUCKS!

    • Wah piang.. cashiers only need to handle your purchase and scan the barcodes, still need what good service?

I dun even bother to see if they got smile at me or not, it's not as if they are waitresses or waiters.

    • Give the poor cashiers a break… can you imagine how many customers they have to process every day… got a friend who tried helping out at the checkout counter – after 30 mins of non-stop packing, dunno how to smile already…

    • The thing about $50 dollar note is that...

imagine all the customers give $50 dollar note, and the $10 get used up quickly...how to continue business?

yeah true, the youngsters might accept the 50dollar note, when they run out of 10bucks, then close counter...when close counter, ppl say "so long queue, still close! complain!"

complain already, if suay suay...lose job...

and lose job because of who? customers who keep giving $50dollar note as if 10,5,2 are so freaking rare.

Thing is, they're to accept unless they state which value of coins or notes they would not accept openly

anyway, I do not think $10 notes would run out easily due to cirrculation numbers
