    • Sigh...having quite a bad day at work today...

Basically I am using a cubicle of a colleague who was on leave and he came back today so I have been asked to leave the table because he wanted to use it. So I went to the office to ask if they have any other empty table for me to sit in and the person in charge said they would have to move another colleague, B to another office and I would be able to use her place. They told me to alert B about this so I did.

Obviously B is not happy about having to move because she has grown attached to her place (her friends are all around her, etc) and I think she saw it as my fault that she has to move. After seeing her unhappiness, I told the office that I will just make do by sitting near the pantry without a proper table but the staff at the office would not hear of that. They said it is not because of me that she has to move, it is because the seat is needed for other staff as well (I would be moving to a proper table in 2 weeks time, someone else is leaving for another job) so it is not like I am going to be using B's table for long term. But I think the damage is done :(

Now I think there is some bad feeling going on...sometimes really felt unwelcomed even though I have been here for a few months...

    • It wouldn't hurt to have a heart to heart conversation with B and sort things out. Sometimes its the only best way to clear any misunderstanding. Or you could just let things be and carry on working as per normal. Ignorance is bliss.

I think I just act blur and go on with my stuff...but right now dun have a table to sit, and even if B shifts I also dun feel like taking her table...

    • This kind of people must kan until she paiseh, but of course, her friends will all jump into her defense. Not wise.

Tolerate what you can’t change, it’s always political in the office.

Oh yea, imagine her friends staring you down at work, you should buy a 3 face mirror for political reasons and give them a fierce stare, or if they stare too much, start stripping to your birthday suit. That’ll brainf*ck them, and things will not be so aggresive.

    • I can sympathise with B. Sorry rainee to break the honest truth but getting asked to move is quite a piss take, what more infront of the colleagues.

You could have anticipated what might follow after the confrontation and taken pre-emptive measures to prevent this war. But the damage has been done... so limit it.

    • Why not you suggest to the office to let you use that "another office" that B was supposed to use and let B remain there?
