      icon_arrow.gif I just got my new computer today, but there is a very big problem with the sound card: RealTek 1.64 - there seemed to be a bug with Window XP.

       

      No matter what my friend tried, there's nothing he could do it get the sound functioning (so there isn't no audio device detected). Apparently, this is a known bug and we tried to download the patch from the website, but for some funny reason, it's down.

      Looking through alternatives have been futile so far.

       

      And my window kept prompting me that it has found new hardware, but when I click install software automatically, it is unable to install as it cannot find the necessary software (even though I have inserted the CD). I can't cancel wizard, because it just kept detecting and prompt me again every time I hit cancel.

       

      Gawd! This is damn annoying!

       

      Sigh.
