    • Stephen Carr and Peter Ramage are two high-profile casualties of Kevin Keegan’s overhaul of his Newcastle squad.

Carr, Ramage and James Troisi have been informed their expiring contracts will not be renewed in the summer.

Ramage has worked his way back to fitness following a serious knee injury and it would appear as if the youth product has taken the decision to seek pastures new.

"We wanted to keep Rammy, but he wants to play regular football, and I couldn't guarantee that here," said Keegan.

Irishman Carr’s four-year spell with the club will come to an end in the summer, with Keegan seemingly keen to head in a new direction.

"Stephen Carr [has] been a great pro for this club. He wasn't offered a contract and I explained the reasons why,” added Keegan.

"James Troisi has also gone. He has gone to play for Australia in the Olympics, but he has not been offered a contract."

Troisi came through the ranks on Tyneside but never made a senior appearance.

    • most manager want  to show everybody they are here to fix the error of the club. knowing what to fix is altogether another issue.

ramage is good player but simply not good enough for big ambition club like magies.
