hi all i have purchased a psp from SIM LIM SQUARE.. name already a taboo..
well, fren say there prices better, so got to check it out.
went to a store, and asked for psp. they offered me $325
so i agreed. when i got the psp (after paying)
the psp was so farking laggy (took 10 mins to load into the game menu) and he say PSP have 0 RAM, need upgrade to 128.
and must change some chipset inorder to play all 7 regions ?
COST = $165.

Yea, nvm since i buy liao, bringing home a lag like fck psp oso buey swee. just pay lor.
i also trust neighboring shops then those in simlim.. they are just plain consters.
it may serve as a warning to me. just dont trust SLS pple anymore.
i wan to know how they make the PSP so laggy ? i dont believe in RAM thingy, cause every gaming device also has a minimal RAM where got 0 de ?? isit in some settings?

i paid dude.. $490 total...
$325 for console
$165 for others ??? RAM AR ? lmaos roflpsp, hard cover , 4gb mem card . bo laio 1 year warranty ? motherfckers they.

Well, I think the cheapest price that you can get a psp is at sony for 280 but I heard that unable to modify, may be temporary. But the price outside for a psp set which is able to be modified is at around 300.
4gb mspd cheapest would be around 60. Hard case... If it is just normal crystal casing for psp about 20 max...
Most probably you had it modified to play *ahem games* since you got yourself a 4gb card and no games.
And if your psp do not have the sony SG sticker on the back of the box, it was never warrantied in the first place which is export sets.
Yes, in a way he did con you. You had paid much higher than what you should for the items but if they modified for you and maybe given you some games... I think that should make up for the lost.
It is just sale grimmicks for people who are price hunters and search for unbelievable pricing for the items that they wanted to get which is famous at the location that you mentioned.
Yes, there is no such thing as need to place in chip to play all region games as the psp is region free for games but not for UMD videos. In regards to the laggy thingy, I think they had done something with it so that you would actually fell for the additional payment to actually cover the cost so that they can sell the items to you while still earning profit.
Just treat it as an additional service paid to them for allowing you to play homebrews then.

before buying you should've done your homework.....ask the people who bought psp before.....
bloody fuck liar....if i could i'd punch his balls......there is no such thing as upgrading ram, if the ram is 0, the psp won't even be able to go to start menu let alone switched on.......you should go to police and ask if they can be charged for fraud.......they are giving you wrong information.....
490? wah kena uberconned sia....you wan next time go buy those bundles at shops like comics connection......then you find someone who can downgrade it for you if you want to use homebrew.......

Hi.. Recently i bought a psp slim($220) from SLS lvl 1.. the guy said after mod the psp will lag... cos the speed for psp slim is 167MHz so must add in a RAM($75) to increase it to 333MHz( same as PSP) inorder to play game w/o lagging... Is thr such a thg?
After he mod a set n show me.. it is really laggy.. than he bring the set to else whr to insert the so call 'RAM' come back... e set is not laggy anymore... Any1 knw wat he did? or he just chg e CPU speed n charge me $75 w/o adding in anythg...

recovery menu can change clock speed.

before you guys go make your purchase you all don't do market study wan har? not say i mean or what... end user also have to do some basic market study in order not to get con by those shop... especially SLS :) and pls... there is no such thing call RAM for PSP... just check your clock speed will do :)Edited by Hanagata 16 Apr `08, 3:34PM
