    • Hi there. I got a question and I feel this should be the correct forum to ask since its abt health and fitness. I'm currently thinking of taking up Capoeira to stay fit and to increase my agility and I'm wondering if anyone here can offer any help regarding this?

Like any places there offer classes and any website with infos? And I'm also wondering if there is a "main" capoeira organisation here in Singapore? An official one?

Will appreciate any help given. Thanks in advance!

    • not really. capoeira helps to develop your flexibility, its not a prerequisite.

as for practicing it on yourself, its entirely possible, but i asuure you its not going to be all about aerosaults or flips .

    • it's hard to believe that it's a martial art form.. it takes too much energy.. not very effecient too. =/

    • anyway, it is recommended that you go for a couple of classes, or just see how the class goes, before you make your decision. practising on your own is alright, but the only con is that you wont know what you're doing wrong

I used to practice with Argola De Ouro. This is their website.

      Thanks! Any basic requirements?
