    • I tried running on the tread mill. i tried running at 9(i think unit is km/hr). 8 is abit too low because i dont get the running momentum. I could only run at 9 for 1 min max, then i have to slow down to catch my breath.

On the other hand, if i walk at 4km/hr, i can do like 10 mins.

Thing is i am not doing HIIT, in fact i am too thin to lose any fats.

What do i do to train my stamina?

    • In fact, HIIT is not only effective for losing fats.

Thing is, if 8 is too slow, 9 should be just nice. So actually 8 is just nice for you. And FYI, don't run on treadmill

    • if you are too thin to lose any fats, why are you still running?

And don't run on the treadmill. It's better if you go run on the track/road/path

you don't train leg muscles much by running.

      What is your goal?

actual jogging, you are moving forward
on a treadmill, you are preventing yourself from moving backwards.

The mechanics is slightly different... that's how I feel... dunno how to explain properly also...

because it actually eats away muscles? and you cannot train stamina by simply running. imagine you are training for a 120km marathon, are you going to run 120km everyday prior to the race?

simple answer: you just see the long distance olympic runners. Any of them have strong and big leg muscles?

Compare it to bodybuilders or sprinters or soccer players or basketballers, etc

So what should i do? My legs tire out after 3/4 round of runnning. I think it is both weak stamina and weak muscle? If we say training the muscles, what exercise would train on every muscle that is required in running.

means you're unfit. keep doing HIIT, and pace yourself when racing.
