I was just wondering this because when my brother first introduced me to weight training, he said that my muscles should ache the next day. Everytime I go, I push myself to the limit. At first they did but after training for a couple weeks, the aches stopped. Is is because I'm not working myself hard enough?

When your body expose to something new like weight training, Badminton, swimming there is an ache regardless of how intensified the exercise is. The brain senses something diff and so the muscle reacts accordingly. When your training for the 1st time muscle aches will remain for a few days and will slightly recover over time. After training for a few weeks your body will tend to customized to the level of intensity and method of training. Therefore the brain becomes ‘Lazy’ and thus the body will not ache as much. But when u change the method of training and level of intensity, the body will ache slightly more but surprisingly recover faster than ur 1st training. This is due to ur increased fitness levels. But do take noted of safey when you increase your intensity. Increase gradually. Listen to your body!!!
