Okay, so I wanted to go to my friendster. And it seems they are having a mantainence. And I saw that friendster was the number 2 in singapore according to Alexa. Like so. Please read the highlighted part.
So I wondered to myself. What is Alexa? Is that someone? But no. It wasn't. Its a website that tracks the largest websites visited etc etc. So I went there.
So I was curious. I went to see the top sites in Singapore, and I expected Friendster to be number 2 of course.
Oh yes. Friendster lied. Google was number 2. But that isn't the point still. The point is.
Ranked 21. on Singapores most visited websites was Youporn!! Honestly, although I haven't heard of this website, I laughed when I saw this. It beat other popular sites such as Veoh.com, ranked 25., VIWAWA!! Fifi gonna get angry, which lost to YouPorn and was ranked 27. There were 5 porn sites that ranked on Singapores top 100 visited such as..

Quite surprised at the fact that porn sites can really beat popular sites such as Xanga, MySpace, CrunchyRoll, ebay, maplesea and local sites such as stomp!
Are the younger generation of Singapore becoming more perverted due to being deprived of watching such things on TV? Since the government has banned and censored most of the things seen on Singapore's TV shows compared to other countries. Post your opinions here.

nope lazy LOL.. u want research and links u must start this thread in Speakers' Corner.. they are suckers for stats and links.. lol.. i dun bother..
but sex and porn is one big business la definitely.. dunid stats and links oso know one.. haha.. but as ur picture revealed, it's like the 20th or something, so still got 19 better "healthier" websites mah lol..
ok i just "bothered" and went to click global top 500 sites and youporn is 35th.. which is still quite high ranking.. actually perverted erm, depends on how u look at it la.. it's unhealthy lo..

i don't really think you should trust alexa. it tracks only those who downloaded the toolbar, so its stats arent really reliable.
how do i know? there was this time in a dota forum, got ppl were arguing about race or something. anw, what relevant is they used alexa and singapore was 10% of the visitors. but the website admin posted, saying using their own tracking thing, less then 1% is sg, visitors are mostly US, i think it should be the case, as being a nation with high population with internet access readily available.
conclusion: alexa must be some kinda asian exclusive thing

Visiting porn site is normal.. I remember i ever read a report about japan or HK .. Due to their busy working lifestyle.. They even have sex in office which i think not much cases in SG and if i were to name a perverted country .. I will said it's japann .. If it's possible go look for a doc. show titled "Gu ling jin kuai: Asia edition" u see wat services japan got..

SGforum is kind of sucks because: They don't have cookies so we must type in our full email and password everytime, so small avatar allowed unless you pay and pay for what? For sharing your thoughts? That sucks, no signature and banner unless you pay. You need to pay for having signatures and banner? Somebody must have really hate sigs,banner or both and Really bad smiley choices.
My guess is SGforums intently doesn't want throngs of people to flock their site. It's written all over on the design of this inconvenient site.
we have something similar to SGforums in Indonesia called Kafegaul. Its design is much better than this site. Too bad somehow I'm not allowed to be an active member in it. They never send me the activation email(even checked the spam mailbox). I enquiried them through email several times and got no reply. Maybe they are afraid of me. I put the name Mas Selamat Kastari on my last enquiry.
