      Can I ask, is it true that the fines of littering in public places are based solely on the credibility of the NEA officers? Or do they have some sort of solid evidence to back up what they say?

      kns one la them, that time bo tai bo ji send me letter say i nvr pay fine for throwing cig butt where in the first  place i dont even smoke. After one big round of 'investigating' they just sent me a letter saying that i'm clear.

      NEA fined me before $200 for littering my cigarette butt. they told me 2nd offence fine $500 and charged in court. i also cant be bothered to argue with them. they ambushed me when i was leaving the 7-11.

      They were really rude though. One guy was complaining how much his job sucks top me while he was writing down MY particulars VERY VERY VERY SLOWLY.

      How do you investigate something that is solely based on "my word against yours"? Ask until they confess ah?

      They really should do it some other way. Either way people aren't going to be happy. I can just walk away when they come and ask for my ic. They can't restrain me or stop me. Likewise, they won't kenna this sort of thing from the public if they wear some sort of identification. I asked to see this lady's namecard for identification, she just took it, put it damn close to my face for a split second, then put it back. How would I know she's really from there.

      I'd just ignore them and walk away. Or tell them to show me their ID.

      Either way i'd slip off  icon_twisted.gif
