    • babe,go for the experience.

and rascism is out there, whether you believe it or not.

try to acclimatise yourself to the customs there, make friends and you wouldnt have to worry.

people may more likely find you exoctic and you can make a success of your 'exoctism' with the right kind of crowd.

    • i guess i am not a workholic, i just tend to go into the office on Saturdays to enjoy the aircon, the peace & quiet and the internet for chatting.

and i like going into the office at 5am to start my day.

    • legal firms are like that.

i know folks who worked thru the night and sleep in the office.

there was one female intern helping a junior lawyer and was busy till 12 midnight. the intern’s father called and called and eventually the junior lawyer has to take over the phone and apologised to the father.

all of us had a good laugh about it because intern is prettty, young and single. that junior lawyer is young, single but looks real old…..

i believe that lawyers comment: he didnt sweat as much talking to his g/fs family but he truly sweat talking to the intern’s father.

bingo! I expect to squeeze some cash out of my own papa to get the anti virus and the softwares. words, powerpoint program stuffs are now sold separetly instead of bundled together. my papa obviously didnt realise that i haggled for the programs in his laptop 2 years ago and he thought it all came with the laptop last time.

    • btw,the office i am in is also a warehouse for a pasir ris hair salon. there is boxes of professional hair care products from bleaching powders, hair colours, shampoos & conditoner.

i am looking at true industrial quantities. The ownner is a local distributors of those products.

I think the brands are: Ka’fen, Goldcome, Va’one & Babyegg.

The bottles looks like they can last 1 year for a normal household.

    • about the pc….papa insist on going to sim lim square to buy a fax, printer, scanner & desktop.

he wont listen to me about sim lim sq and my advise not to buy anything hastily.

i led him to the 3rd floor and he turn in to see a apple shop, then we turn into another shop and he immediately saw the fax copier printer he wanted and also asked him about the dektop.

i’ve already seen the desktop and didnt want it before i find hm again talking to the salesman. thats when everything go wrong. he asked the salesman to gi him a package and the salesman complied though everything is sold to him separaely. my father saw a display of flat screen and pc and insisted on 1.

my papa has totally no knowledge of computers or their specs.

because the pc do not have price tag down there. so the salesman quoted him 1.4k

thats roughly when i blew up because that desktop a very basic model and he totally never considered the software and whichever crap is needed…he only felt its a good deal because the salesman is willing to throw in a set for skpe function.

i asked about windows software & webcam and try to tell my father that the desktop needs the software much like his laptop. that papa went on to tell me off that his laptop is his and i shouldnt be trying to talk about his laptop.

i gave up and left that shop and leave him to be chop carrot.

anyway, he now left the office to inspect some cargo and insist i stay until the delivery of those stuffs today. I look at the delivery order and dispair…..it only state a 19” screen, a model of the comp w/o its specs, a webcam & a headset delivery….and of cos that printer, fax, scanner.

    • it was a harrowing experience. i cried & cried and cried so,e more last nite.

Papa really makes me want to dive down some deep end.

and e still dare to sound peeved at me this morning about the expensive deskttop comp he purchased which should be more appropraite to throw at his head except that my hand is in a cast and cannot lift a mug.

i am already anticipating that when the comp is arrived today. i am going to sqeez him more money to support that darn desktop.

He argued with me about that comp, insisting that i am fighting him at every turn…that damn thing cost 1.4k with1 gb ram! and a bulky flatscreen plus a big casing which is verylight because it contains nothing!

and oh….mt home mailbox was broken into again and the letters went missing. called 999 and POs came down to check.

i am farking suay. because even when my friend picked me up at PCC to jalan besar for dim sum, we keep getting red lights on the road.

I went and buy the phone and the skype headsets & microphone.

Papa says the phone looks too small. so i will have to buy another set of phone soon.

Then just now, when i tried the headsets and mic, i discovered that the sound systems has been removed from the laptop…or I just really sucked at finding it.

      I need it help!
