it's the sept 03 model.. it's completely original.. my interior has been untouched when i got it from performance motors back then.. plus it's the same as the other coopers here.. google search and the images are the same.. pic below.. i just want a recommendation to a place where i can fix it.. not an essay/series of questions about it.

Hi, Recently came back from a long trip. Left my car in the open air carpark. I guess it's been really hot? The canvas on the inside/interior of my roof has apparently came loose.. like as though the glue has melted off.. looks like a saggy piece of underwear, constantly touching my head. Really really irritating. Any idea where i can go to get it fixed? Prefably on the east side. Cheers.

and of course how can we compare our "modified cars" with those in malaysia?the parts there are cheap and theres no limits to their mods.....it just like comparing asia with the states even high tuned cars from japan will loose out to high tuned cars in america!why,is because the people there are crazy! 2000bhp monsters cruising down he streets!!WOW!I logged in just to laugh at this... "2000bhp monsters cruising down he streets!!WOW!"

Dude, americans learn from the japs on technology and apply what they've learnt in engineering school, whereever they learnt it... get yr facts right!!!!
and the only 2000bhp vehicles that i know can CRUISE is those CAT Construction vehicles and Big Trailer Trucks.. Sheesh!

What i suggest is concentrating on the TE (thermal efficiency) of your intercooler. If you can insulate your airflow into the intercooler well and block out the heat from yr engine bay to your intercooler, that will greatly help prevent u from losing power esp in this climate. Mind you, this will generate more heat in yr engine bay and you need to monitor it closely. Having an inbuilt water spray to cool the intercooler (air to water system) is another good alternative.
At the end of the day, it's what you want. Prefer the grunt of a turbo, whine of a supercharger, high performance but constant monitoring and maintanence? everything can be done just the matter of money, amount of work and if it's worth it. This 3 things will constantly swirl around in yr head.

Hmm. supercharging it should not be a problem. Not sure about the civic but it's been done with the s2000 for many years. And it's very reliable. Also with the atom (my dream track machine), IVTEC 2.0l block with m62 roots supercharger (http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/). Hondas and Bmws are all NA based.
Frankly speaking, if the car wasnt built for turbo, it'll take a lot of $$$ to get the HP figures you want. Plus it's illegal.
It's best to pop in a bolt on supercharger for NAs, it may be $5000 or so, but it'll def. hold up in SG climates. And easily boost performance up to 30%. If you want to run on the higher numbers, cost goes up exponentially.
Personally speaking, 200whp to 300whp is more than enough for SG roads; you normally have more fun in these cars than those with higher HP because it becomes un drivable especially in SG, that is, from my personal point of view.

I beg to differ, it can be a host of other likely reasons,
-women drivers(pardon me) tend to be more oblivious to their surrounding, they may see you but they don't really care what you're doing.
-people on the hp or sms to confirm their next meeting with the other party before moving off.
-some people like to take awhile to settle down in their car before moving off while they let their engine warm up( should take less than 1 to 2 mins). or they have some time to kill before their next destination cos their early. or take the time to destress and think cos their in the comforts of their vehicle where he/she can have privacy.
-and of course all the comments you've posted, but i seriously doubt they would wanna waste their time like that irritating others, think it's just a minority esp. in SG.
Cheers.

But wait... if you can see behind the reflection of the Cayenne... and this is taken on the left hand side of the car

The owner (or the son) is a crazy driver.. was driving like 160 on ecp beach rd heading to changi airport. He didn't care bout the speed cam too. Lucky he's driving a diplomat's car. looks like in this pic he got a speeding ticket! hehe. but in actual fact, just a reflection of light off the windscreen.

Dude, which yr is yr car make? Grey 03 JCW here. I suggest asking our mini owners club concerning renting of the car. Lots of mini enthusiast out there..
Mini Enthusiasts Club Singapore meets every 2nd and last Sunday of the month at the car park next to Kallang KFC from about 5 p.m. onwards. Pop by mini2 forums. Cheers.

Mini All the way!!!! Been driving my grey JCW for 2 yrs daily now and worth every penny tho the price was a bit on the high side for me. Easy to park, easy to squeeze past cars in traffic jams. Fast acceleration and good braking. No supercharger lag. Good interior. Beautiful exterior. Best of all, fantastic handling.
To sum it up. Tho not the fastest, it's the most fun and affordable european car to drive. Unless speed is yr game, then i suggest the golf.. R32.
Would never think twice about switching to another car. But don't mind an Elise or Exige on the side as a weekend car if only i could afford it..

This i don't get. The topic is suppose to be a "warning" since he will not be around driving his m3.
So does that mean that he drives like a granny and has left the car in the hands of people that drives the m3 like how an m3 is suppose to be driven? cos if he drives hard he won't need to leave a warning.
Oh. That explains the luminous green and orange stickers when SEI was around....

I think this is completely ridiculous. Fellow Singaporean dies and all Singaporeans do is put in their 2 cents on HOW he died and if he deserved it, fight verbally with each other trying to correct each other and there's barely any condolences written on this forum. It's so sad.
Is this how Singaporeans react towards an accident?
God bless his soul and may he rest in peace. May the passing of the family's loved one be smooth and he be remembered for all his good deeds.
