so ,u can see SG grew at a crazy rate in 1 st world standard.
Now slowed down to few % is normal for 1 st world country!!
i am not interested for forecast.
mmm
your optimism was definitely not share by many economist and your much admire LKY, LHS and tharma.
recession is already start to bite into high tier and middle high tier property prices.reduction in spending in adverisement as shown by SPH. this show all business are basically pessimistic about the general economy.

the market did indeed open higher, will it hold? probably not?
it has no longer just financial crisis anymore.
world recession is on the brink. singapore has started, just look at the result of SPH. drop12%.
HDB houses prices are indeed supported by PRs. whether it will hold will greatlt depend whether they remain in singapore more move somewhere else. downgraders could also fill the void left by them.
i still think mid tier and low tier HDB houses are pretty safe.
-
-
-
HBD will generally hold out well discount those who pay 800K for a HDB. if u buy during the 2003-5 times, 200k for a 5 room flat. you can rest in peace as there are many PR queuing to buy it from u.
how more more can you downgrad from a 4-5 room flat.
how much more cheaper can you sold lower than the 200k/unit?

But fuhrer,
How about our bunkers and the gas chambers??

what do you think the STI will open on monday?
i think it wil be higher but not for long.
the late rally on wallstreet on friday is banking on G7 meeting.
But, in my own opinion, i dont think any good can come out of the G7 meeting moreover, morgan stanley sales to MUFJ is still hanging by the thread.
things could get worse as financial instituition is still trying to de-leverage and that means sell sell sell.
maybe time to invest in fourth reich development funds.

Actually the FWs should be housed in places like lim chu kang where resident numbers are low. All FWs need is just a shelter over their head and a decent living condition. LCK is also near tuas. Locating them at other places are just finding trouble. No one is gonna let their house value drop without a fight.
I dunno why the commends are always about discriminating against FWs. Its true that they cause trouble. There is no doubt about it. I've been a resident in Jurong West for more than a decade. Before their dorms were built, this place used to be peaceful and safe at night. However, after it was built, we have drunks moving all about half naked at night, men hugging each other like long-lost lovers, beer bottles being discarded along the road and better still, fights nearly every night. These are also why the values of houses in our estate is decreasing.
Why must we lose money for people like them? People who come to our country and make a mess at the places they stay? After they made their mess, they would hide behind the protective shield of sympathetic singaporeans who find that whatever negative commend said about them are "discriminating". Its obvious why they are discrimainated against, they tarnished the image of my neighbourhood and, perhaps, every neighbourhood they live in.
They build house, they build road and yes, they are our nation's "builders". But we paid them too. It is not as though they come and work for us for free. We pay them an agreed price every month fot them to work. Everything is fair. Only retards will come in and say " Hey you freaking bastards, they build our roads and whatever shit you know." Fuck you man. No happy dun work, there are tonnes of people waiting to replace you. Want to work here better be a guai kai.
Remember, in every country in the globe, its always locals > foreigners. Think about ourselves first.
well said, another kaki.
wana join my Fourth reich?i make you my propaganda minister.
Heil hitler!!

there's nothing unique about that... the UK olympic asociation is headed by australians, the english football team by italians and the english rugby team by italians. As for all small nations I can think of very few who employ local talents to head up any serious international sporting efforts.
we are refering to players not coaches la.
Do you see english footballers represent by italians players.
Zidane is different, he migrate from african to france since we was very young. that why i say, players must stay in singapore for at least 10 yrs before they are allow to don singapore colors. so that we feel they are singaporeans.
feng tianwei was hardly in singapore for less than 2 yr when she was headhunted in Jpn and told to represent singapore.
pls make similar comparison.

Temasek sold Singapore's power stations to foreign investors, instead of price coming down the price shot up 22%. Tell me people have the Lees, PAP and Temasek commited treason to Singaporeans?
in fourth reich opinion, selling energy company is quite common in many developed nations. such as Australia. But the only difference is that in these countries, running it is not as profitable as in Singapore. the reason they could be giving is because of the forward energy pricing, better management to lower cost, efficiency and $%$^.

if the credit woes worsen in US and the fed no longer have fund to bailout banks.. ML will be allow to fail since its not a deposit holding company... all our CPF monies will be down into the drain and some ppl here who start to feel the pinch..
in my fourth reich opinion, American will never run out of money. especially so in this credit crisis. Why? just look at strength of USD in past 1 mths. it has surge against Euro, SGD and most currency except RMB and Yen.
USA is still deem by the world as safe havens for their money. American is still too strongth, both military and economically.
They just need to issue more bonds, and sell them to SWF or foreign govt who will be eager to buy them such as Japan, CHina etc.

im not sure whether it has to do with LKY.
but maybe balakrishna could be the one who can make the difference.
I rather singapore not won any medal than won with foreign help.
AT least those who rep. singapore must stay in singapore for at least 10 yrs before they can done singapore colors.
my china business associate when talk abt singapore medals only knows the shuttlers are more china. never know them as singaporeans.
that summed up the issue.

Don't really have to know why it dropped. If you know the Aus currency's fluctuation trend over the years, you can make a bundle.
You may have to buy and hold for a few years.
in my simpler terms, currency are affected by various factors.
1. interest rate.-- central bank in australia has been cutting interest rate
2. fall in commodity price. it was a impact on the AUD currency.
3. risk aversion.-- ppl fund manager tend to move their currency to safer currency such as USD and Japanese yen. are you surprise why USD? coz some ppl fund manager would rather buy eg. US treasury bonds, bills even though the yield are zero. the mentality is.. it is better not to gain than to lose.
the third pt could be wat TS trying to say ah, i think.
