Hi Jerrie, certain (elite) secondary schools in the past has implemented a trial period of Tablet PC usage for educational purpose. Tablet PC is a more advanced laptop which can be used like a book.
However, like what people said above...its not really of a success due to cost, technological limitation etc.
Btw, has ur blog been hijacked? It get redirected to a porn site

Flag display rules relaxed during National Day celebration period
SINGAPORE: Following a relaxation of rules in 2007, the Singapore national flag now may be displayed on clothes and costumes during the period of National Day celebrations.
This period lasts from July 1 to September 30 each year.
A statement from the Information, Communications and the Arts Ministry said the national flag may also be flown on private and commercial vehicles alike during this time.
Decals, stickers, posters or other visual images of the flag may also be displayed freely.
The only requirement is that the flag must be treated with respect at all times.
Individuals and businesses are also encouraged to display the country’s flag during this period when it can be flown without a flagpole and night illumination.
Foreign organisations are also invited to fly the Singapore flag as a sign of solidarity and friendship with Singapore.
Those with queries concerning the use of the flag or other national symbols can approach the National Heritage Board or visit Singapore Infomap www.sg. — CNA/vm
So can we now have the flag superimposed on bikinis and bras?

Before bought my new car today, I had actually tested Mazda3, Altis 08 and Lancer EX 1.5A.
So my order goes to.... Lancer EX 1.5A
Why? See below...
1. Super value for money. For just $58,988, I got a very attractive newly designed and larger car that come along with goodies like 16" sport rim, leather seats, factory fitted tinted glass, reverse sensor with distance-to measuring, 3M floor matt, rain visor and others. No disc brake? Doesn't matter as the drum brake was more than enough for a 1.5L car.
2. Very good looking interior design and the red lighted meters with trip computer was sexy too. Instrument deck, control buttons, especially the doors panel looking better than those on Civic, at least make me feeling cheap.
3. Good looking, comfort and very supportive seats for the front and rear too.
4. Good designed engine that built by ex-Mercedes Benz power plant in Germany that provide better power curve at most rpm.
5. Good steering wheel and corner control when drive hard.
6. Low noise when cruising. I don't rev unnecessary and if I does, I'm more focus on the traffic instead of the sporty engine noise. Boh pian mah, road condition and safety more important then focusing on the car noise.
7. Good FC, according sources.
8. Not bad 6 speakers stereo sound system for in-car-entertainment. I'm a Hi-Fi sound tuning expert, so I've know what is a good sound, when I heard it. All just don't ask too much for low price ice system but expect it to sound good is enough.
Think that will be more joy for me to discover when I got my key in 2 weeks time.
Are you okay with the power-to-weght ratio?Due to the same body used on the 2.0 but with a smaller engine a common remarks from 1.5 owners is that the power is not that much.

Ok,lets not get this escalate to an argument.
It's difficult to get a universal rule here, because the phrase goes "to each his own" so anybody has the right to get whichever car they want.
What i mean in the previous post is that potential buyers(assuming neutral) would look at the list(which i had compiled above)
Power
NVH
Comfort
Looks
Engine Capacity
ETC
To each his own again, lower powered cars does not means inferiority but then again, assuming the said car is priced more than the more powerful counterpart, are you sure you want to fork out more money which for less you can get another car with more power?
I wont be biased against the Grand Scenic, but with the respective power and the engine capacity,i recommend looking at other similar cars unless this one has the best factor which the buyer is looking for.
In the case of the 1.8 MPV,again its up to the buyer but at least now the horsepower count is competitive for the engine capacity.130-140hp is the norm for the 1.8l field so now its up to preference again. In the previous post i was comparing engine capacity to engine power, not the same capacity.
So if i like the Wish alot,i wont mind the small difference, because at least it's not an alarming difference like having only 110hp for the engine for example.

Users of Firefox 3,when you log in to Hotmail are you able to use/enable the Full version?
It seems that after i upgraded from FF2,every time i log in to Hotmail im unable to use the Full version and get auto redirected to the Classic Version. There would be a message saying that it's because "of a problem during sign in" and that i should "clear my cookies and stuff".
I cleared it countless time to no avail.
And IE has none of this problem.Do anyone have a solution to this problem?I think its a FF incompatibility prob

For a 2 litre engine, the norm for the current generation is 140-160hp.So 130+hp should be for 1.8 typical engines and strong 1.6's.
Very few people were, unless of course they get inflatuated with the model and buy it for it's look.
Typical everyday buyers look at the comfort, power, handling, crusing capabilities(road noise, cruise control etc),and whatelse. So if im one of them,i would be hesitant to pick the renault because compared to other 2 litre cars it has the least power(for example).Power is important and even more in MPV because of the heavy weight and in case the driver want to sprint faster for some reasons.
And in money term, what you can get in a 1.6-1.8 is in a 2.0 capacity engine so you're paying more road taxes.

For the non-GT variants that is.Personally, it's up to owners if they wanna fork out more money for a better sound system, GT spoiler and a rear 16" disc brakes.
PS: it dont end there, the owners can fork out 1-2k for aftermarket drums-to-disc brake conversion.
And please, dont take the Selphy.Who on earth wanna have a miserable 135 horsepower for a 2.0 engine? That range is reserved for 1.6-1.8 engines

I do not recommend hanging up the Singapore Flag.
The reason is:
(quoting from old thread)
1st star for PAP
2nd star for legalised corruption.
3rd star for nepotism
4th star for ISA
5th star for Fake Elections.
The Crescent is for SHAME.
SHAME that we have allowed a bunch of stupid despots to take power.
