They can transmit through saliva, sweat.. u name it. So imagine u share drinks... or u feel somebody's sweaty hands,palms... whatever. Thats why its way more prevalent now. The ratio is very high per population.

actually my point of view for condoms is to minimize premature or unwanted pregnancies. its effective for a couple who make love only between tthe two people and no one else. unless it tears if not its the safest way for responsible couples.

When I read the bulk of the replies I was more worried. If this is how people react to 'herpes' and if they are online and anonymous, I can safely assume that IRL it would be worse because of the face-face factor and less time to think through.
Yet this is an Aunt Agony forum. If you feel you are personally qualified enough to give advice, at least skim through most of the thread before passing a comment. It is well-informed advice on what next to do that matters.
In any case, thank you to the few who gave good advice. Appreciate that. I will learn to live with this.

Well, I don't really have enough money right now, especially after seeing the western one. But I took a chance on f1taxidriver's suggestion on oxygenation. I read about it online. It seems quite interesting. So I walked to the nearby mall (with difficulty) to buy H2O2 and I put it on my privates and it stung like hell. I promise. Not for long though. It was quite soothing when it turned effervescent.The sores look better, but still hurt.

I am more worried about the guy who is till walking scot free. To solve this problem 99.99% we should report a guy that has herpes. the guy should also go see doctor and he should pay for your bills if you need to seek further medical assiatnace from doctors.

Did you go see a doct ? Go polyclinic and get a referal letter before going to hospital. What did your doct advice you ? Did you tell the doct what methods are you using ? Ya try TCM also. Dont sweep the problem under the carpet.

There are two types of HSV.
· HSV type 1 causes cold sores (also called fever blisters) on the lips. HSV-1 is generally spread by kissing or by sharing eating utensils (such as spoons or forks) when sores are present. HSV-1 can also cause sores around the genitals.
· HSV type 2 causes sores in the genital area (genital herpes), such as on or around the vagina or penis. Is there any way to get rid of the genital herpes virus?

There is no cure for genital herpes. Unless scientists find one in the future, you will always have the virus. But taking antiviral drugs can help manage your condition. Ask your doctor about treatment options.
How often will I have symptoms of genital herpes?
· That depends on the type of herpes virus you have. After being infected, people with herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) tend to have far fewer and less severe outbreaks than those infected with herpes simplex virus-2 (HSV-2). While no prevention method short of abstinence is 100% effective, using a latex condom offers some protection. Your partner should tell you when symptoms flare up, which is when the virus is most contagious. Avoid sex when your partner has symptoms.
What should I tell my partner I have genital herpes?
· You should tell any sex partner that you have genital herpes. It's important to learn all you can about genital herpes and share that information. Then you and your partner can make an informed decision about sex. Tell a partner that there is always a chance of getting the virus from you, but that there are ways to reduce the risk, such as using latex condoms and avoiding sex when you have symptoms.
There are plenty of reasons why you should communicate openly. Your partner may have infected you, and he or she should know. It may also help your relationship in the long run. Your partner is likely to appreciate your honesty.
When breaking the news, explain how common genital herpes is:. You can say it's like having cold sores on the mouth (which 50% to 80% of all adults in the U.S. have), except the virus has infected your genitals. It will also help if you're calm when talking to your partner and approach the discussion with a positive attitude: "I think we can work this out so that we'll both be happy," not, "This will probably tear us apart, but...."
If you were sexually intimate with your partner before you were diagnosed with genital herpes, he or she should be tested for the virus.

Triggers to Consider
Keep these other triggers in mind. Some may cause your genital herpes to flare up, others not.
· Factors during sex. Some people find that the friction of sexual intercourse irritates the skin and brings on symptoms. Using a water-based lubricant can help reduce irritation. Don't use one that contains the spermacide nonoxynol-9, however. Nonoxynol-9 can irritate mucous membranes, such as the lining of the vagina. Oil-based lubricants are a no-no, too. They weaken latex, making condoms more likely to break. Even if the friction of intercourse seems to be a trigger for your symptoms, it probably won't cause a flare-up every time you have sex.
· Colds and sunlight. The common cold and sunlight seem to trigger outbreaks of oral herpes (cold sores), but no proof exists that they trigger genital herpes outbreaks.
· Hormones. Hormonal changes, like those that occur in the menstrual cycle, can affect genital herpes outbreaks. No one knows why yet.
· Surgery, weak immune system. Trauma to the body, such as having surgery, may make herpes symptoms appear. It's possible that having a weakened immune system does, too. People whose immune systems are weakened by HIV, for example, tend to have outbreaks more often than people with normal immune functioning do.
Remember that triggers may not be the same for everyone, and doctors are not certain how much lifestyle has to with outbreaks of herpes symptoms. If you think one triggers your symptoms, ask your doctor what you should do about it.
