I like Bak Zhang more than mooncake..... I miss a good savoury bak zhang.... haven't been able to find a good one here unfortunately....
That will be on my "must-eat-food list" when I go home for CNY next year.

get your wife to learn how to make yu sheng.. Its very easy, just have to prepare the carrots only, then the ingredients, get from the supermarket..
then you really can eat yu sheng for 15 days..
these 2 are my favourites...
eastern one not bad

yah...
For some reasons, yu-sheng is not a big thing in Brunei.... oh well not in my family anyway. We never have yu-sheng during CNY.
This is what we have during CNY:
- shark fin soup
- Fish maw soup
- Abalone
- Mixed vegies
- Fish
- Chicken
- Duck
- Sweet & sour pork
Anyway, I haven't been home for CNY for 4 years so the menu might have changed a little now....

Shark fin used to be my favourite but I hardly have anything with shark fins in it including sharkfin dumpling nowadays. I just don't agree with the cruel method people used to get the shark fins.

I doubt anyone goes out to buy shark fins buys the whole shark.
Those shark fins "fishermen" usually chop the fins off the shark and chuck the shark back into the water to bleed to death. That's a cruel practice.
If they do what you think they do.... to use the shark for the meat too then I will definitely have no objection.
