then you need to try to hook 3 octo tentacles...
then go back to waterport and pay the guy 100k gold to get the GPS...

No problems on my side, apparently I can see and enter forbidden woods, but auntie cannot.
I also noticed that stale cheese trap setups work best in forbidden woods and beyond, but not in catacombs.

Your best bet is thru forbidden woods, but seems you can't see that too. Hence you are screwed, which also explains why no candle for you.

8:25pmI checked my trap and found that I had caught a mouse! I caught a 9 oz. Scavenger mouse from the Catacombs worth 3,367 points and 5,209 gold.
The mouse also dropped the following loot:
1 Ancient Cheese Curd Potion.
My weapon was very effective against this mouse.

10:39pmI sounded the Hunter’s Horn, but my efforts were fruitless. A Monster mouse ate a piece of cheese without setting off my trap.
Additionally, the fiend pillaged 906 gold from me!10:37pmI returned to check my trap, but it appeared a Monster mouse had eaten a piece of cheese without setting it off.
The power of this mouse crippled my courage, setting me back 931 points. -
