last time I got a ex colonel as boss. he is super duper long winded and a christian I think. in one of his super long winded sessions, he told me if I have to talk to god, I will. I was like ya right

YOur ex male boss was sensible not to insult other religions. The lady manager spoken the words from the bible on idol worship.In some ways idol worship is better than a God who gives empty promises.

Yes, I know. It is taught in the christianity that God is the only true god in the whole world. God is jealous so believers must only have him and him alone. Also other religions are considered satanic. -

CRoss is ok to them, they don't worship or pray to cross. Cross is a reminder to them that Christ died for their sins. Those images of Jesus you saw in churches are mainly Catholic Churches. -

To accept something you must also deny something. Slightly unfair, but that is how many minds work today.
To be Christian means that you deny yourself the right to call yourself any other religion and to live a lifestyle that contradicts the teachings of Christ. Although many Christians take it with a pinch of salt, they dont their oath and their commitment seriously and thus end up contradicting themselves in many ways.

Humans tend to find something else to blame for our wrong doings, you can find examples of scapegoat/s in many religions...Satan is the scapegoat for Abrahamic religions followers.
