by being "stupid", she has served many needy in the slums and her actions speaks for herself. to the people whom she has served, they appreciate not just her being "stupid" but also the "stupid" idea that "God loves them" cause they felt and experienced it.

believing in Christ means loving your neighbour thus, doing good....and people of all faith (and without) do good deeds. not just christians.
..... and the actions of rony tan, mark ng and konge hee is not in line with that (imo). but then they are not the only ones....and people of all faith (and without) do evil things.....you can see it here in this forum.
therefore, only people who do good (follow Christ's way) will go to heaven like what He said in the Last Judgement in Matthew chapter 25. Jesus is here to save - not condemn.
and as far as i understand, the Bible has never said that with God, there is no sufferings or if you believed in God, there are no sufferings.....
in fact, Jesus said, "come carry your cross and follow me"....... suffering and natural disaters are not an indication of non-existance of God. any questioning where is God when those things happened does not help either....instead, ponder why those things happened....

let me again apply wad u said...why do u find christianity explanation on sufferings unsatisfactory? could it be cos buddhism focus alot, in fact much more on sufferings than christianity? hence, due to that massive exposure to the teachings on sufferings, another religion(christianity in this case) answer to sufferings is seen as unsatisfactory? to a someone of great wealth, having a small bowl of porridge everyday, living in slumps is seen as miserable? u get wad i am saying?
christianity focus alot on blessings and origins of life...so to us, other religions may be seen as insufficient in answering qns abt origins and blessings in life...

yes, some (rather most if not all) will doubt the very existence of God at some point of their journey.....it's normal and what most of us is trying to explain.
but do not mistaken that as they do not believe in God or that God does not exist.

Irregardless, we all seem to be focusing on faith/non-faith . Of course while there will be people who praise her, there will equally be people who will call her stupid.
But whether she deserves to be praised or whether she is stupid or not does not change the fact that through her religion, she has help countless. Shown love where non exists in the slums.
We can talk.. its easy to criticise and to praise. But given the situation, will anyone one of us got the balls or even the dignity to do what she does ? Anybody ? Mmmmm ?
