Anyone finished reading the whole bible?

correct me if i misinterpret wad u said, pepper...so u went to church, heard the gospel and experienced God for urself then decided to follow Christ...i tink u have to explain clearer wad u meant by ''difficulty level of buddhism'' cos ppl like fairyfairy will say u chose christianity cos u looking for easy way out...is christianity really tat easy to u? wad made u discouraged and give up?

Christianality is not easy too. U see wad happened to Job in the bible? What happened to Job might happen to us. We have to hold on to our faith until we die cannot give up halfway. Christian life is not easy life too.But buddhism is very tough in its practises.
In order to be enlightened as an arhat. U have to let go of ur attachment to self.
That I cannot do. That's wad I meant by difficulty level.
Meditation,chanting buddha name, recitation of sutra are tough too.
The buddhism 5 precepts are tough too.
I have tried meditating in dharma centre really very tough. Single minded pointed chanting of buddha name is difficult too. Sutra recitation is tough too. Precepts are difficult too.
Wad fairy fairy think is not important. But I think fairy fairy dunno christian life is quite tough too.

i understand everything u have explained...i juz wanted u to clarify further for the benfit of others who dun understand...the difficulty for christianity is keeping the faith after salvation while for a religion like buddhism, the difficulty is in the march towards salvation aka enlightenment(nirvana)...one defines difficulty as the life after salvation, the other defines difficulty as the life on the way to salvation...

to me, reincarnation is even tougher. if reincarnated in somalia, in africa, life will be tougher than reciting buddha's name and meditation. i strongly believe in reincarnation. a monk told me by reciting buddha's name is enough to get out of the cycle of reincarnation (salvation by works and grace)

Sorry I am a christian I dun watch video that's have reincarnation.I dun believe in buddhism now. Buddhism is my past beliefs. I have no interest in chanting buddha name to get out of cycle of reincarnation.
I don't believe in rebirth.

Honestly, I think the bible is not meant for reading from cover to cover. As christians, we know that the bible is written by God and everything. It's like an instruction manual to us. It comes to 'life' when we receive messages from God saying about this particular phrase in the bible and cross reference to our lives.
I used to learn that when we read the bible we should ask ourselves 3questions; what, why, how.
What is the bible saying to me?
Why does God want me to do this?
How can I apply this into my life?
That and only then, does it makes sense. no point reading it like a storybook. might as well don't.

Do u go tell ur malay frenz rebirth when they are already muslims? Their religion no karma and rebirth. U go tell them muslims are stuck in 6 realms of rebirth? Pls respect other ppl's religion.Same for telling christian rebirth.

i remember that even Hasene, a non-christian has said before that christianity and buddhism are very different from the start...well, fairyfairy trusts her own judgment only...onli she is rite, the rest are all wrong...maybe she is like God, a perfect being...

so far she has conveniently avoided by analogy on marriage and divorce...she wants to get married and have kids but i wonder where she got her evidence that her marriage wun end in divorce...where is the truth in marriage that she is following and believes in?

in fact, fairyfairy is already not 100% buddhist cos she believes in good works leading one to heaven and bad works leading one to hell...hwoever, the emphasis of buddhism is not abt heaven and hell...its nirvana...absolute good karma dun get u to heaven, it brings u nirvana...before reincarnation, we dun even go heaven, we go hell to pay for our sins...
