He claimed he could see devils flying around. no such gift is mentioned in bible. Is he mentally ill?

TS, it is ok, you can pray and ask God to open your eyes to see them. If you have not seen them does not mean they are not around. There are people who can see spirits. Even for some christians when they are down, they can see spirits.
You need to open your mind and do not allow your mind to be narrow.

I think your friend has 3rd eye. Did he tell you he see Christian ghosts ? I heard from my friend those with 3rd eye told him they saw many Christians did not go to heaven and become wandering hungry ghosts. Ask your friend to tell his pastor, I wonder what the pastor will say ha ha ha............ -
