A family of seven on board a small plane were killed when it crashed in Alabama after an engine failed - leaving behind a teenage daughter who was too sick to fly.
The coroner identified the dead as Fred Teutenberg, 42; his wife, Terresa, 36; their daughter Emma, 2; son Peyton, 4; daughter Ellie, 6; son Brendon, 9; and son Will, 10.
Marengo County Coroner Stuart Eatmon said that relatives told him the Teutenbergs were flying back to Saturday so they could >>> make it to church the next day <<<.

There is this religious debate that people who died in accidents like this go through less pain and suffering compared to living til old age with all the diseases.

many christians thought that they will go heaven as long as they pray and ask for forgivenness.
they conveniently ignore the fact there will be a judgement day.

there is no growing old or young in heaven cos heaven is eternal...i can see u are one of those who are nt here to find out more abt christianity but i am going to say tis...old and young is possible only in the realm of time...eternity is timeless...so its nt relevant to say a kid will ''grow'' in maturity when in heaven or the old will become ''younger''...

May be you have not seen people who died in the car accidents on the way to work in the morning. These people have not retired and enjoy life yet and to die on the way to work is really pitiful. I used to see that on the way to work in Jurong area. There was once it happened on a rainy day. The police couldn't move the body because don't know waiting for what or investigation was going on. That guy was on his way to work, his body was drenched in heavy rain. Sometimes I tell myself, life is meaningless to die like that. You get to enjoy life if you die of old age. -

May be you can enlighten me what positivity when a young parent passed away leaving young kids behind. From the above statement that you make, I can tell that you have not seen enough in life.

it enables the kid to rise up and learn to live life stronger thru hardship instead of getting sheltered by his/her parents...it promotes independence...although u may start citing there are cases where the child becomes bitter wif life , u cun deny tat some of us are too sheltered by our parents tat we lack independence when we get older...

Didn't you read in the papers that most of the kids who got themselves into trouble or commit crimes at young age are mainly from broken homes ?

u said most....wad abt those not in the papers who rose up and became independent early and became successful? i am sure there are such stories...even if they are few, it still validates tat in every negativity, theres an element of positivity...

There are more than one side of life people should like at, spiritual, emotional, social. Life itself is complex. Incidents like this can break or build up the kids.
