I have problems with my church

This is an emotional problem, I hope the mod won't transfer my post elsewhere because Aunt Agony is best place for me to channel my discussion. I also hope everybody here will give their postive feedback and not flame or post irrelevant thing.
I am in my 30s, have been to this big church for 4 years, only about a year ago I started getting active in its young adult activities. I sometimes feel very frustrated because I feel lonely and disconnected, unable to blend in this big church. As I said only last year, I was able to get involve in the committee activities of the young adult movement at this church.
But to my frustrations, they only restricted my contributions to my talents which is finance because I am an accountant by practice. When I am in their committee, I want to discuss about video, programs, publicity for young adult activities, nobody wants to listen to me. There is some form of politics and the young adult leadership comes from this group of cell group leaders who tend to support each other. Furthermore, this church is suffering from its "silo" mentality because the church is so big that the people tend to mix in their own groups. So when we form committees, sometimes I just want to be friendly to say hi or what do they do for a living, instead I am sometimes ignored because they are so clickish and only mix with their own kind. One day I asked one of the committee members whether I can join in his idea of organising a movie outing for the young adults. He didn't answer me, instead recruited those people who are from his own cell group (cronysm). So I just made a slight complain to one of the church workers. After that I was obstracized by the whole young adult committee.
It is really frustrating. Sometimes I read the bible, it tells me to be an overcomer and preservere. At the same time, a friend of mine has invited me to his smaller church. Everybody there seem to know each other and they are so well connected. They welcomed me and I felt so accepted. On the other hand at this big church, I go to church alone, so lonely, when I run into a committee member, he or she don't even bother to say hi. I feel like leaving? What should I do? Should I join the smaller church? Or take up the challenge and stay at this bigger church?

Frankly, what do you go to church for?
Seems you have ulterior motives which are not realised and therefore you complain.
Go to church, pray, and go home, lah.
Is that so difficult to do.

That's mostly the problem with big churches, too big le, too commercialised. Have you seen City Harvest? My gawd, like concert hall lydat.
Join the small church la, since there is no one-size-fits-all church, just like everywhere else. You go to church to pray, but it is also important to have good friends, and fellow spiritualists who can help you grow spiritually, emotionally, blah blah blah.
I am not a Christian, my two cents only la.

hahaha, I once proposed to God: make me strike the Big Sweep first prize every month. I will donate 90% of prize money to whatever churches he named. That way, He doesn't have to collect a miserly 10% from churchgoers.

i think the church should not be uptight and command followers to give 10% of tithes to churches. it should be voluntary, not made compulsory. if followers doesnt want to give, so be it.
