Well, in my experience most people (esp atheists) have some kind of a love-hate relationship with me. LOL!
They hate me for being so entrenched in my beliefs and defending the faith and challenging their anti-Christian bashings...I mean...postings.
But yet they love having someone to whom they can verbally cross swords with, some look forward to my replies, and some even miss me if I do not post for a while! LOL!
**so embarrassing!*

yes you are right, so full of BS, yet so ignorant and at the same time deluded
Going back to the topic, bascially, Muslims ( i am not muslim) see jesus as a good man but not a Deity.
To muslims, their holy book says that trinity is not God because God is one.
We can reconcile this with the bible verse Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

You sure? See http://www.answering-islam.org/God/echad.html
and also http://bible.org/article/trinity-triunity-god
Anyway, I really wonder what is really your motive for bringing in the Islam religion here in this forum. Are you trying to stir up a debate between Islam and Christianity while you then sit back and watch the show? As an atheist you should not be focusing on theology per se, but on whether you have a good defence or a good reason for being an atheist and believing that there is no God to whom you are accountable to.

Don't accuse me of something that is not true, God is watching.
I bring in Islam to show you the similarities, to reconcile the differences. Muslims and christians essentially worship the same god!
And if trinity is so important, why didnt the christians make it clearer in the bible, like say "believe in the trinity or three-in-one god"? Why must beat around the bush and speak in codes if trinity is a key to salvation>?

Don't act so patronising lah, it sounds very fake and hypocritical for you to talk about God watching when you don't even believe God exists.
You do no justice to both Christianity and Islam by being shoddy and flippant in your treatment of their doctrines and beliefs. Islam's God is unitarian whereas Christianity's God is trinitarian. So what are you talking about being essentially the same God?
Again why should the Scriptures pander to your personal whims? God has revealed very clearly truths about Himself. It is YOUR failure to put together the truths God has revealed, lacking the initiative to find things out for yourself. The early creeds of the church all teach the doctrine of the triune Godhead.
you failed... he passed :)
The irony in BIC's post has just gone up to epic proportion by the 2nd last sentence... The last sentence is but an appeal to tradition, authority and majority. Wow... I'm impressed with the 3-in1 fallacy in a closing sentence... Yet its not really convincing...

Whatever, refute if you can. And demonstrate the fallacies if you can.
I don't need to. Its in the definition. Look up wiki on list of fallacies.
Such discussion never comes to an end and is never conclusive.

Lame cop out again. Called your bluff on this. Duh.

Wrong again. There are people who have made up their minds after evaluating the debates. You don't need to know everything to decide on something. Just like in an actual public debate, one can actually vote on who has made the stronger case. You can of course refuse to personally commit to believe in it (faith issue) but you can affirm that the case is stronger on one side than the other.

Whatever. The definition of appeal to authority, tradition and majority is pretty straight forward. No one will find such arguments convincing...

I dont have to believe in it to tell you that your god is watching you. I am reminding you of your own conscience.
Sorry, but there are MANY christians and muslims who believe that they worship the same god. Maybe just not you and your denomination.
Again, if salvation is the MOST important agenda in the bible and that believing is key to salvation, why isn't it made very CLEAR regarding who god is and what kind of god to believe in?
Tell me, had the bible clearly state (or the apostles clearly wrote) that the true god is a triune god three-in-one, wouldnt it have saved much debate on the trinity? Then wouldnt there be no non-trinitarinian christians?
It's very obvious if the bible was clear, there wouldnt be any debate about the trinity per se.
In Pakistan, a 12 year old christian girl diagnosed with Parkinsons was charged with insulting the islamic god under their blashemy law which has death sentence.
Don't understand why the islamic god needs to protection of ants such as this blashemy law.
After all, everybody who belief in god, belief that god is almighty and powerful, isn't it?
So why does god need the help of jihadist and blashemy law to protect his self-image when he can easily wipe humanity off the surface of earth?
There is a lot of misinterpretation going on around. Its not the religion but the people who follow the religion who misinterpret it without any common sense at all.

Either God is watching me or He is not. What is your answer? My conscience is clear since I am not denying any doctrine of the faith but your intellectual honesty is in trouble.
You show me a Christian who believes that Allah in Islam is the same as God in the Bible and I will show you a false believer. Such a believer must deny that Jesus is God incarnate if he wishes to hold on to the Islam notion of God.
The Bible is very clear in what it teaches. Christians use common sense and logic to conclude that from certain clear and undeniable facts that are presented in the Bible, namely that the Father is God, that the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, that all three Persons are God and yet the Bible teaches that there is only one God. It's a mystery no doubt, but not to be denied simply because it is perplexing. See http://carm.org/debate-topic-trinity-doctrine-biblical
There is debate over the issue of Trinity only because people do not accept the Word of God as it is. They feel offended that God cannot be put into a nice little mental box. Why would anyone want to invent a doctrine that would be the cause of much dissension? If Christianity is really man made then why not remove it to appease people like you?
