The 22-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from a host of clubs in Italy yet there have been suggestions that he's looking for a move to England.

Not likely , and of course we have Garcia in that similiar position , so either Garcia or Aimar will be an excess player on the bench , not likely .

Hur Hur... the idea of having Aimar playing in the hole behind a striker is tantalizing.
He is a player of some calibre. Great technique, quick feet and footballing brain. He'll adapt well to the rigour of EPL. He's oni a bench warmer at Valencia and it does not do any good to his profile. Renieri insisted he's not for sale but that won't be good enough to make the player unless he is guaranteed a starting eleven.
Perhaps Liverpool might adopt a player exchange with cash? That would be more practical for the Reds financially bah.
Benni was reported asking abt Aimar's availability but nevertheless it remains speculation till both parties confirmed any talks taken place. But this is some good speculation. -

Chelsea have become the latest club to inquire about Leeds United's young goalkeeper Scott Carson. Liverpool made a £250,000 bid for the 19-year-old this week, aware that he is out of contract in the summer and unlikely to sign a new deal at Elland Road. Chelsea are yet to table a formal offer, though they are being kept abreast of rival bids.
Carson has made only three appearances for Leeds but has featured in the first-team squad 15 times. This meant he was entitled to negotiate a new deal although he has been unable to reach agreement. Wigan have offered £400,000, though Carson would prefer a move to the Premiership. -

Rafa Benitez is considering a January swoop for Valencia defender Mauricio Pellegrino.
The Argentinian has been granted a free transfer from the Mestalla club having lost his place under Claudio Ranieri.
Pellegrino was a mainstay in Benitez's title winning side last year. Now 33, any move to Liverpool is likely to be as cover for Sami Hyypia and Jamie Carragher.
With Swiss veteran Stephane Henchoz likely to leave, probably to Manchester City, in January, Benitez will be short of options at centre-half.

Southampton have opened talks with Liverpool aimed at signing the Croatian midfielder Igor Biscan after the transfer window opens on Saturday.
Biscan, who has played only a bit-part role since joining the Merseysiders in a £5.5m deal from Dinamo Zagreb four years ago, is out of contract in the summer and will be allowed to leave for a nominal fee. However, he may prefer to consider his options on the continent before committing himself to St Mary's.
Biscan has not featured for Liverpool since their Carling Cup quarter-final success at Tottenham early this month. The 26-year-old, who can operate in midfield or defence, has made 95 appearances for the club, scoring twice.
He could be joined on the south coast by his Anfield team-mate Stéphane Henchoz, who will also be allowed to leave and has attracted interest from Manchester City. -

Liverpool should have sold Diao in the beginning of the season when some club is interested in him.
After seeing his impressive display in all the matches that he have played in, no one is interested any more.
Diao is just smiling and collecting his million dollar salary and warming the bench up.
Biscan should stay for another season loh.
Hope Ah Ben learn his lesson on the striker's injury crisis, not forgeting we are in all 4 cup competition.
A striker is a MUST.

He is like Diao, injured at the right time.

Transfer targets:
1) Morientes - Striker is our top priority and it will be good if we managed to
get player of this class to lead the attack
2) Anelka - If cannot get Morientes, Anelka will be a good option. He is a
proven striker in Premiership, do not need time to adapt and he
eligible for champion league
3) Laurent Robert - I feel that Benitez should get Robert as there is not
enough cover on the left flank. Currently we only have
Riise, Warnock and Traore. With Kewell injured and out of
form, we need a good left winger. Probably can get Robert
on a loan deal.
Right now, with Alonso injured (no thanks to Lampard
), we need to retain the service of Igor Biscan. Dun sell to Southampton! -

The Daily Star says Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to cash in on the England international, who has been plagued by injury since his move from Coventry City over three years ago.

Ronaldo may not look very busy for the whole of 90 mins but given a opportunity, you'll know he'll put the ball into the net with just a sublime touch or shimmy. Raul to be a sub... dream on. Morientes, RM's solution for a target man.
