My heart wants 2-1 LFC win.
My mind says 1-1 draw. -
This match is not yet a die-die must-win, so I hope we can at least achieve a draw...coz Depor is pretty strong at home.

Attack Liverpool on left wing.
Play the off-side trap.
Mark Baros and Alonso.
If Depo can play the above three tactics, they should be able to win the match tonight.
Dun think Kewell and Diao can provide their best tonight.
Alonso still not good at his free-kick.
Expect Ah Ben to play ultra-defensive and log long ball towards Baros.
Dun really see any one of the Liverpool players scoring except Hyypia or Riise.

First half ended 1-0 to LFC .
L'Pool played really well .
Igor Biscan were magnificent tonight .
He dribbled past two DLC players before laying the ball to Riise for a cross into DLC goal , and own goal by that Portugese defender .
Biscan has some wonderful first touch and defensive tacklings .
Traore also not bad .
Too bad that 29 sec attempt not turned in into goal .

liverpool could have took the lead right from the beginning with a little more luck with baros running into the opponent's keeper.
in return, josemi was this close to cost liverpool a goal when he played pantiani onside.
then there came the own goal. all credits to biscan for dazzling the midfielders, releasing the ball to riise, to have him cross in for an own goal.
riise almost add to the goal tally with his double attempts right before the break.
right reception to the game. cant wait for the second half to start. -
i would say draw is a more deserving result.
both teams were playing positively but did not capitalize much on their chances.
the game would not be the same without taorae, hyypia and biscan. -

I dont think so. Liverpool scores NO goals! its the own goal that gave Liverpool the 3 points.
Tarore was good... Riise was also good and could have scored yet another goal for the Reds.
Baros really needs to be sharper when comes to scoring goals.
Josemi is still chasing shadows ever since he red card.
Hyypia is the usual rock at the back...
Kewell really needs to score some goals to get back to the deadly player he used to be when with Leeds.
Biscan... what can I say... he run created the goal... I think he is finding his touch in the midfield role...
having praised some much on the players... I still think that its not a good game... reason being... it still shows that Reds lack finishers... Reds failed to put the chances away... it the world of soccer... if u dont make your chances count.... it might just hurt you... the score line could have been... Deportivo 0 Liverpool 0 or worse Deportivo 2 Liverpool 0 but then IF Liverpool make their chances count... it would have been Deportivo 2 Liverpool 5

Not only we're back in the driving seat for next rd, this win is an achievement by itself...if not wrong, we cld be the 1st English team to win there (Gunners and Manure had failed b4)!?
Was Biscan tat good last nite?! I'm surprised he even started - ahead of Diao! *whew* So we were positive even when playing away and short of options upfront!?
For those who were sleeping soundly like me last nite, the repeat is on tonite at 9pm - ch23!

Biscan was instrumental in stringing the pass that create the first own goal.
But, he is not in sync with the rest of wingers and strikers.
He need more first team appearance, maybe last 30 minutes of the game.
Taore was my man of the match.
His many tackle save the day.
Liverpool was playing a dangerous game of defensive soccer.
Depo have a few clear chances at goal.
But, luckily they won. -
Missed the game last night but Ive read that Biscan played really well in midfield.Its good to know that Benitez opted for Biscan ahead of Diao(FINALLY!

It was a very important win.Now all LFC needs is to win either one of the ramining fixtures against Monaco away or Olymoiakos at home.Its good to know that we control our own CL destiny.

i tot tt was a clever time wasting tactic. Coz play has to stop for the keeper to get treated and can only start when the keeper is okay. and the treatment wasted about 2 mins of play time and it kind of made deportivo lose momentum. Yes L'pool played better than the match at Anfield .
You'll think it's playing at Anfield if you dunno in the first place who's home . L'pool playing with some fine home form .
I am so certain that Benitez regretted playing Diao so often ahead of Biscan .
I think last night L'Pool controlled Deportivo to zero shot at goal in the first half !
Moment-of-the-match : Biscan hard tackle on one DLC player , fell the player , not only he won the ball cleanly , and swiftly move the ball onward , without any foul , without any cards . Wonderful defensive capabilities ! -

I saw multiple times of replay , legs were tangling near the goal , no heading incidence , but Kirkland looked like got knock-out by a Mike Tyson 300 pounds punch . -

L'pool's started the goal showing more desire , more hunger , it shows as early as that 29 sec mark .
Pool never allows DLC to play as planned . We spoilt their momentum and rythem , we stopped them right from whistle one .
And on the way , we got that opportunity to launched an attack and created that own goal .
That's why i said i dun agree that it's not a good game . It's a good game by Pool overall standard .
Thinking , without Stevie Gee and D.Cisse and Alonso and won , it's a good achievement . -

what I trying to say here is, our weakness.. our problem... so obvious... we can't score goals. No point showing the hunger and ate no food... we still starved... its only lucky that Deportivo is playing a lousy game.
its impovement.. but still we NEED to score goals.. thats what soccer is all about... scoring goals... no looking hungry and full of bites... yet ZERO goals... If its really our game score line should have been 5-0 to liverpool.
Basically that's what I wanna say... thats what I'm upset about.

Rush back juz in time for the "goal"...a sweet move by Biscan n a good cross by Riise - shd do tat more often - lucky goal?! I'll say it's good move and good pressure fm Baros
Some may call it workman-like performance, I say it's a credible one. With more luck, we cld've won by 3 or 4 clear goals - Baros, Garcia n Riise cld've been more clinical with their finishing!
As Poolman pointed out, tis is achieved with the absence of some key players. So I tink we did well at Depor....let's hope we keep up the good work!
