NOT a good idea.
Yes, Andrew Johnson is in form now. But he is NOT a proven goal getter over a long course of the season. He's not a proven scorer on the european stage as well. So I think its a BAD idea to get Andrew Johnson replace Djibril Cisse. Only until Andrew Johnson proves himself over a course of a season then shd LFC make a move for him.
We need a proven striker.Someone who can perform at the highest level. Not promising talents. We already have that in the likes of Mellor and Pongolle and even on loan Le Tallec. -
Pls sign Morientes. We need someone who can perform at the european stage and i think andy johnson wouldn't be a good choice.

But it will still be a gd buy because Morientes is quality and He will be useful in the EPL and domestic challenges. -
Dun think Morientes want a League cup medal or FA Cup medal.
Now, the coach is rotating the strikers around for Real Madrid.
So far, he have not make any news or noise.
I assume he would stay at RM to fight for a CL medal.
I think mista would be the most propable guy that Ah Ben is getting.
Would need to consider a right back and centerback.

Carragher is hardworking, but he lack the talents to be a GOOD central back. Hyppia is good, he seems to be going down the hill IMHO. We do need a GOOD central back at this moment. In fact, we need a total of 3 good central defenders to keep everyone on their toe and rotation.

The central pairing is perhaps the last area you wanna rotate in a squad.
Carragher is a good.And he's dedicated.Always gives 200%. I say let him have a run at centre back for a season or too.He will blossom into a better defender. -
Unlike Valencia's Carbone , Ayala , Marchena ..... Hyypia and Carragher is good , but they lack that little bit of FLAIR .
I like the 80's Liverpool most because they all got flair , style .... the current Pool needs a bit of flair .
We'll see , in three years time , Liverpool will be the English Valencia ! -

Against Arsenal he posed a constant threat to the Gunners , his run is good , his run never gets off-side so often ....... maybe at 24 , he might be the man for L'Pool !
With UEFA posing a new rule to the European Union on foreign players limit soon , he might be a sound investment ! -

Are there any other strikers available? From the looks of it, Mista already renewed his contract, means he won't come cheap. Morientes will almost likely cost a bomb. Baring in mind we made a financial loss for the past year, i dun see where the money is coming from. We had to sell owen to finance alonso and garcia, that means if we dun sell first we dun buy. Hopefully investors will come in in time.

Although in the RED this year , Rick Parry had emphasis if there is a need for new player , Liverpool will not hesistate to spend .
He will get in a new striker , a proven one , 'cos we're running out of time ! -
I also hope they will bring in someone. That said.. Rick Parry would definately say that they would bring in someone, i cannot imagine a club of Liverpool's stature saying they are broke and cannot afford to bring in anybody. Why didnt Abramovic choose Pool rather than Chelski.....

Funny in a sense , unknown Johnson he might be , who knows the future ? You heard Hyypia ?
Difficult in a sense , a good player costing 11 million might be good in that league in Spain or Italy , might not be a good player in EPL ..... Diouf and Diao are two examples .
Benitez will be worried if that happens !
