  I think they should recruit more from the academy , the faster the better , 'cos UEFA imposing the new ruling implimenting soon , law that restrict foreigner's limit in a team .

  EU not considered foreigner.
  
  So French and Swedish strikers are ok. In LFC, only Dudek and the 2 Africans are considered foreign players.

  Salary might be one of the factor not signing him , the other factor i thought is Anelka's attitude and commitment and overall assessment of his contribution to the team .
  
  You know , Houllier has that defensive minded concept towards every game , and Anelka is just reverse ..... maybe that's why Houllier never sign him .
  
  I guess Houllier needs someone not only can score , and defend as well . And Anelka has not done the latter .
