sad to say, I kind of gave up waking up early in the morning to watch Liverpool these days.
cos I can't bear seeing the Reds not performing n got beaten

The only motivation they goes into the game is that by winning this game , L'pool are almost thru into the next phase .
I guess what Benitez wants now is to proceed into the next phase , got the almost confirm reward , and go for January's Target-Man !
Then the re-plan starts there after getting his new target man .

Liverpool is not thru to the Last Round yet.
They will need this win to cement their path to the final round.
After the opponents watch Liverpool past five match video,
they would know how to beat Liverpool:
- Station three defenders in front of goal mouth. (Cos they rarely do wing play nowaday)
- Attack on Liverpool's Right Back. (The reason is as clear as glass)
- Work on corners against Liverpool's zonal marking.
- Mark Kewell. (Just pressurise him and he will surrender the ball)
Liverpool have no players that can take free kick (Murphy is GONE) and no jack in the box.
Only source is Riise, who is sharp but not accurate.
Very hard to visualise they fighting bad as they did not show much fighting spirit after two goals down to Boro.
Are they saving strength for the Monaco match ????

Half-time - Monaco 0 - 0 Liverpool
Both goalkeepers had no single save to make, although Monaco was clearly the dominating side.
Worst player, as usual, was Josemi who made a few glaring mistakes and gave a few free kicks around the box. I won't be surprised if the sub is sub out.
Outstanding were Hyppia and Carragher, at the centre of the defense, nullifying whatever attacks Monaco managed to serve up.
Upfront, Mellor was chasing shadows alone.
Likely to end up 0-0 or a single goal deciding the winner.

Liverpool is just toothless at the moment.. Can't imagine we can score against ARSEnal...

more attempts are shown in the second half. but poor liverpool, they lost the game to referee. there was a controversial handball that leads to the winning goal.
fortunately for liverpool, there were gerrard, hyypia and carragher to prevent the scoreline from getting uglier.
josemi didnt play all that badly today. but he had to be substituted from a bad knock on a good attempt to win the ball.
i'm not sure if mellor's role is to play striker today but i dont remember seeing him at all near the goalmouth.
liverpool just aint preemptive enough these days. balls are pumped forward without having any players 5km close to it. when this happens, it has to be compensated with lotsa lotsa lotsa of hard work.
and liverpool has gotta start learning how to play dirty at times. opponents aint scare of them because the players seem so gentlemen in tackles.
pulling of shirt probably gets a yellow card.
pull a tackle so hard that the opponent is afraid of you gets an yellow card as well. which would you choose?
same fouls from both teams but decisions always go against liverpool because they dont know how to do it without showing to the referee. -

Garcia, Cisse, Baros and Smicer.
Maybe it is a sign for Liverpool to focus on the EPL.
Give Ah Ben some time to re-think his strategy and knowing the tactics of the other EPL team better.
Liverpool is not prepared for the CL this season.
It have no benefit even if it qualifies after the group stages, except for $$$.
Boro, Everton and Bolton have better foundation and climb on top of Liverpool.
Newcastle and Liverpool need to regroup and start playing as a team.
