Aimar or Morientes?

if you are ah ben and only have enough transfer kitty for only of the following player, who would u choose?
as for me, aimar is definitely my top choice.
he has always been a menace when valencia plays liverpool, proved to be more offensive and threatening than a top striker except in the air (he is relatively short as a european player).
furthermore, he is young (25) while morientes is 28.
if i recall correctly, morientes didnt want to leave real madrid initially until he is so grounded. from all the news i read about him, he gives me an impression that he is a celebrity player where aimar is a more comitted and quality player. -
Aimar is also my first choice.But i wun mind both coming...

Tough one indeed ....
Aimar is the more reliable signing , can play both as Striker & midfield , and also filling the hole behind the strikers and midfielders .
Only negative point , Aimar doesn not possess Morientes' physical advantage , which it's what we need it more now .
Morientes is what we need now , not Aimar , but in long terms , Aimar seem to be the ideal option .

Morientes was a consistent goal scorer in the Champions League. And even when he was limited to a substitues role in Madrid, he bagged in the goals.
Aimar, yes, he doesn't score many. But the number of goals he'll create for his team mates is as good as scoring the goals himself. -

Its just not how Madrid choose their strikers.If they had gone with goal ratios for their selection of strikers, they will have dropped Raul.

If Morientes plays regularly for Real , his goal per match ratio should be higher .
That's why Ah Ben put Mori as priority infront of Anelka . -

Why cant they just buy Anelka? Proven, played for Liverpool, wants to play for a big club, can still play in the Champions league, younger, only problem could be his attitude.

Under normal circumstance, Aimar will be my choice. At this moment due to Strikers woes, Morientes ought to be the best option.
Anyway, I feel Morientes is a done deal, just waiting to be officially annouce. -

Agree if given a choice...it has to be Morientes currently! We need someone to put the final touches IN. Also, Morientes is good with his head, so he's useful for the corners n indirect kicks which had gone mosly to waste so far. -
