How many years have you been a supporter of Liverpool FC?
Looking back, i have been a koppie for more than 20 years+. i guess some of you are still in diapers then.

Kops ar , you are one of the oldest Liverpudlian I've known .
In fact , i've been a Kop since 1984 ? 1984 I think !
The days of Ray Clemence , Ray Kennedy , Alan Kennedy , Dalglish , David Johnson , Sammy Lee , Terry Mcdermott , Kevin Keegan , Jimmy Case etc....Those Late Joe Fagan days !
Those days when their Umbro jersey got "Crown Paint " advertisement in front !

I got those Liverpool info from "Match" and "Shoot" magazine , those days the magazine reached us 1 month late ! Where got things like internet ?
And i've to catch glimpse of LFC play from that Phua Chu-teng Brian Moore's "Big League Soccer" on TV , usually it was about 2 weeks late . Where got things like Cable ?? Today younger generation now so lucky !
Why got so lucky like now , little bit late only , complaint !!
Think Redz also another "long serving" liverpool supporter ! -

Poolman, We are on the same era. Me not that old lah...at least dont make me feel old hor.
Start watching soccer in 1982, when my black/white tv keep showing of the World Cup...Brazil was soooo...goooddddd...then....still remember the images of Zico samba through the defence...and how lucky Italy with that druggie(Rossi) won the World Cup then. Michael Platini, kienze Rummeniger(cant remember the spelling) are my all time favouriate players.
Yeah, still remember the SHOOT magazine then...pretty expensive for a school boi...Shoot even post my "penpal" advertisement in the mag and i received so many fellow reds through the world...spent a fortunate replying those mails... Now, just a few click on the mouse and practically FREE. Even joined the official fan club in UK..wow about 20 pounds per year...
84-85 season was the last "BEST" days in liverpool history when they won the treble. Those were the days. Sadly i can't foresee that ever been repeat again. -
i'm not a maniac fan but i remember the days of Big League Soccer too
when it was hilarious coz they weren't so high tech with their grass and pitch technology yet... and whenever someone ran, you could see footprints in brown patches on the green pitch
the days of lousy haircuts, mullets.. and it was the days were people did not dive, were gentlemanly, sportsmanship reigned... men were men, not overpaid boys...
days of the legendary Peter Shilton (who played so well even a great 'keeper like Ray Clemence was kept on the bench).. and liverpool had, like you said, Dalglish, Keegan.. and were kinda scary...
when "THIS IS ANFIELD" struck fear into visitors, and drove the home team to heroics..
and when the stadium had no seats... and they could cram about 60,000 small stadiums
i think i just showed how ancient i am -

Now I'm confused about the year !
I've seen the 1982 World Cup held at Spain , when Paolo Rossi single handlely won them the Cup , along with Dino Zoff .....
Maybe I start seeing Liverpool earlier than 1982 !
Nevermind la , the Match magazine cost me about $1.20 at 1st , later increa$ed to $1.60 , $2.20...... damn shiong , so me and one friend rotate to buy that time , each one of us buy two in a mth , not so shiong .
Me not so rich to join those clubs .
Jersey also buy chiong one , eh , that time chiong one must go Thailand then got know , cheap ar ? No leh , must "air-freight" leh ..... -

i think i started around 85-86 ... king kenny was our player-manager and we had people like whelan, hansen, lawrenson, nicol, craig johnston, rushie etc ... oh, of course there was bruce grabra
... we were sponsored by crown paints but i think our jersey was addidas with the old 3-leaf logo ... our biggest rival was the blue half of merseyside with that lineker guy ...
my 1st world cup was mexico 86 when that argentina guy called maradona scored with his hand and ran through oppositions as if they're not there ... -
Let's see. I started supporting Liverpool in 1988/89 that time. Was a kid then, only remembered John Barnes, Peter Beardsley, Ian Rush.
Started supporting with my uncle, but now he Man U fan, I stay as Liverpool fan. -
Relative to the history of LFC, we're all still "young"!
Anyone who supports them thru thick n thin are loyal Reds' fans. There's no doubt tat many were mesmerized by the game during the goldern era - beginning in mid60s. I started "late" - early 80s.
Still remembered Villa pipped Ipswich for the title on the very last day tat season! Since then, I've never looked back. I used to follow the papers for all the results, browsed soccer mags at bookstores, n listened to BBC on Sat nites for "live' commentaries and final results.
Fav match todate is still the FA Cup final agst the Blues - 1 goal down, we came back with 3 - and won the double tat year! Worse gotta be the championship losing match agst the Gunners - with M.Thomas scoring the 2nd n winning goal.
Anyway, those were the days! I'm looking forward to more good ones under this new stewardship! -
Started sometime ard mid 1980s.
Think Kenny Dalglish, Jan Molby was still playing then and could remember watching the 1985 Liverpool vs Juventus match (Heysel Stadium disaster).

I started supporting liverpool since 2000...dunno why i picked liverpool out of so many good teams..
I never really understood how the beautiful game worked till 2001 when i started watching EPL due to the influence of dad
den i got completely engrossed in soccer after watching wc 2002 >_> -
Me was hooked when Ian rush popped 2 goals against Everton in the 1986 FA Cup after they were down 0-1 at half time. We won 3-1! Amazing come back! That makes me a 19 years supporter.

One was Robbie Fowler's fastest hat-trick ever in the EPL with 3 goals in 3 mins and 33 secs.
The second one is Patrik Berger's hat-trick against Chelsea(I forgot the season)
Somehow or rather,I still prefer the old Liverpool with Steve Mcmanaman,Jamie Redknapp,Fowler,Owen,Berger.. -

So u prefer the "spice boys"? We all hv our fav team - if only we can put them together in a team regardless of age and era. My fav has always been the 80s' team....errr, the one with Aldridge i/of Rush
