No one have any expectation for Ah Ben on this match.
The Reds are becoming a fourth and fifth position in the EPL.
Unless Moro can become fit overnight, then we have a goal feast.
But, no point being a one match wonder if the team cannot perform consistently.
I am now worried whether they can survive in the Champion League.
This is the 1st season for the spanish coach and the spanish players to adapt to the EPL.
It is amazing how the Russian can assemble a group of different nationals and make champions out of them in one year.
Now Liverpool can only gun for the 4th position and pray for Everton to slip.

ever since two new players came into the team, liverpool has gone into a slump, especially the defensive area.
that leads to another question which i raised last week: why is pellegrino still playing that vital role?
overall, liverpool players cant even pass well.
ANY team seems to fare better when they are against liverpool. -

liverpool lost the game without a fight. liverpool lost to a bottom club which has forgotten the taste of winning.
and the outcome of experimenting with new defensive combination: have your best defender hyypia injured for working that hard.

Why played Pellegrino in place for the in-form pair of Carragher & Hyypia ?
Pellegrino should play at the reserves to adapt to the British games first , then progress to the first team ! He's looking really rare in our British games !

Last season when we finished fourth , we lost only 10 games for the whole of last season .
Now it's January , we already lost 9 .

Wow ... little bit heng , Boro 4-2 up , sekali Norwich grapped 2 to equalize inside the injury time , to deny Boro full three points , that does help a bit , as far as LFC is concern !
Also little bit heng , Everton lost at home to Charlton , meaning our lost to Saint's impact is minimum !
Everton don't seem to overcome the lost of Graveson to Real. They are starting to lose ground .
Still , Everton are 7 points ahead of us .
Now , three teams are tied at 37 points , LFC , Boro , and the quietly emerging Charlton .
Today , Everton got nothing , so are we .... Boro has just got one.

LFC has achieved the minimum requirement , by getting into the League Cup Final , win or lose , LFC are into next season UEFA Cup !

Maybe Rick parry understands that Benitez's first season as coach , and to achieve that minimum requirement is just too much for Ah Ben , especially he inherited a bunch of useless Senegalese and Frenchmen . -
If ah ben's intention is only Uefa Cup competition, then i think Gerrard will leave in the summer. Liverpool will never be a force again.

Liverpool is not in the League Cup Final yet.
They still have a second leg on next Tuesday.
So, I dun really want to count the eggs before they are hatched.
As for defeating Liverpool, just look at the videos for the past three games.
You can easily spot the weakness in the REDs team.
Attack - Attack Liverpool on the right as Pelle tends to move forward and slow to react due to his age. Furthermore, Hyppia is injured.
Midfield - Get two players to mark Steven Gerrard and fustrate him to commit foul.
Defence - Tackle hard at Garcia, he tend to lose the ball. Get three men to crowd around the goal mouth as Liverpool dun do any wing play now.
What the present batch of players lacking is character and commitment.
I am not going to beat the REDs down when they are going through a rough patch.
Just hope that the player behind the striker can dig deep and improve his ball skills better.
Or else we may have to get Murphy back from Charlton.
We cannot be losing the supply line to the strikers. -

Midfield lost the battle to Jamie Redknapp, a player I truely love to watch but he just got injuried too often else he could have been the best England midfield. Stevie G, he look tired... really tired. Was it his injuries? or he is losing heart. Where's that Stevie G that cover every single inch of the field, made every single tackle on the opponent. Garcia is a joke playing midfield, he should join josemi on the bench.
We lost... cos we dont even play simple football. We lost not to a better team but to a team playing simple football. -
The performance between both teams were so different. Southampton look more like a team fighting for Champions league and Liverpool fighting for relegation. There was no spirit in Liverpool's play, passes went astrayed and defence were caught many times and punished twice ! We were luckily not to be 3 or 4 nil down which is possible. Southampton should have a penalty , luckily the referee didnt catch the push from Raven. Morienties must have left his shooting boots in Madrid, he had one decent chance to at least shoot the target but he ballooned way way to high !

Aiyo. Before the game started I already know the outcome. Asian handicap Liverpool 'give' 0.5 ball to Saints. Meaning before the game starts, Saints is leading 1-up. Ok, back to the this 0.5 kind of thing.
Many ppl maybe thinking Saints so lousy, sure relegate at the end of this season and Pool so good and strong, sure no problem winning at least a goal or two. If this is the case, Pool should be giving 0.75 to 1 ball mah. So when half an hour to go before the match starts, the odds still Pool -0.5 ball. I 'eat' of course. Ole Ole OLe. -
Ah Ben did the right thing to stick to the new comers, and give them time to gel.
U cant expect everyone to come in and play immediately. some folks need to adapt.

There's no spirit in the team's play! Even with all our injuries, the lineup agst Soton looks decent, if not awesome...but they turned out aweFUL!!!
Kudos to the Saints tho...they played with so much conviction tat I wish they were the Reds!

It's agonising to see LFC played against Southampton.
It's agonising to see that Gerrard played as if it's his last game.
It's agonising to see goals are not going in.
It's agonising to see Pelligrino played as if he's stil in La Liga. -
Nothing against my favourite team.
No matter how lousy they play, I still support them even if they are relegated to Division One.
It is a dream to win the European Cup this season.
It is impossible with the mental power that the present team have.
If Steven went on strike, the rest are DOOMED.
Only Baros is the only player that fight for the ball, create his own chance and score goal.
But, only he and Carragher are the only two players that I give my respect to.
If they can not even beat a relegation team at the bottom, do you seriously think they can become a good team overnight and beat the rest.
So, 4th position is GONE.
As for League Cup, with Hyypia injured and the spanish coach playing Pelle definitely, the one goal lead is not good enough.
Watford is no way a lousy team and walkover.
I have heard Ah Ben using video player to study tactics on his opponents.
I guess some one in Liverpool have forgotten to buy him a video player and a video recorder.
I am not expecting any overnight success from a newly appointed coach.
But, I sincerely hope that he can build his team from the existing batch of loyal English players. -
