So we've made it!
Not the best of all wins...but it's good enuff to stop the "rot" after 3 dissappointing defeats!
It's hello to Cardiff again...not bad for Beni's 1st season!
Strangely, I've got tis feeling tat the club and fans would rather finish top-4 in the league than to win our "D"arling Cup again!? But let's take it one step at a time. -
Of course Top-4 better la .... got to see L'pool on TV against European top elites.....
What's League Cup winner ?
UCL qualification means $$$ , $$$ means top players stay or arrived , UEFA Cup means top players moving on or no players coming in ....
So...what you reckon ? -

i wonder about next season...
if LFC has only UEFA cup to play for, and finishes this season languishing in mid-table obscurity, i think Stevie G will leave and that'll compound the woes LFC is facing...
and thus start the slippery downward spiral to total mediocrity.. -

Now the REDS have qualified for the Final.
I hope the red will meet the red devils for the Final.
No point seeing the Blue.
They have already confirmed the EPL Champion.
Let the reds fans have a field day in disturbing the red devils fans.
IF Liverpool is to win the League Cup, it is to win against Man Utd. -
actually Liverpool by qualifying for the finals of the Carling Cup is assured of a place in UEFA Cup next season cos Chelsea and Man Utd would most probably qualify for Champion's League together with Arsenal and a fourth placed team (likely to be a blue jerseyed team from Merseyside
).
Liverpool should therefore just concentrate on Champions League above everything else. It would be unprecedented if Liverpool wins the Champions League and finish below fourth cos England would effectively have 5 reps in the Champions League! -
Unfortunately, though it sounds good, the Champion League winner is not a automatic team in the next year's CL.
At least Liverpool has a Uefa Cup spot, but we've all seen the Gerard Houllier era.....hope history does not repeat itself. It's time to go forward, not stay stagnant or fall down the line.... -
If Benitez wants to win more than the Carling Cup , why does he not give it at least a try for the FA Cup ? Quarter Final at least ? At the least , lose to a Premiership side , rather than the nationwide Div.One team ?
I wouldn't mind losing , if you try and lose , but just un-acceptable to Burnley !
Got a feeling he's trying to make a quick one for the UEFA Cup......'cos all Premiership team played a second string for this competition , as for FA Cup , all teams played their best squad , from all divisions .
Whatever it is , the only thing that'll make me happy , is to either win the UCL or qualify for the "fourth" spot ! -
So we'll be meeting Chelski.
Can they be 3rd time "lucky"? No doubt Mr Mourn will go all out to win his 1st English trophy, but so will Beni! So it's gonna be a good fight...hope lady luck will shine on us again in our "D"arling Cup! -
Yes, win or not we are almost assured of the UEFA Cup spot.
No much to shout abt...but at least an early assurance is welcome - "better than nothing", they say.
And now Watford n fans will be praying for us to be finish top-4 (together with Chelski and MU); coz it means they'll be in Europe by default mah. -
i still think Stevie G will not stay for a UEFA cup tourney...
i hope i'm wrong.. coz if he leaves, LFC will implode.. -
Actually, I can see some thing good if Stevie G leaves. I don't want him to but we must face reality.
At least Benitez can slowly build a more team-approached game instead of a one-man show everytime. Beside, we got Xabi Alonso. I think he can replace Stevie G, though he's not as "a hardman" as Stevie G is.
Beside, think of the money from selling Gerrard. It'll at least make the club stable, not like a certain club.... -

If Stevie sees differently fm Beni with regards to our long-term prospect, then he's must leave sooner rather than later! It's painful but we've gotta be decisive n built the team asap! -

it's just that, he's damned good.. and he knows it too...
would you get sick of pulling everyone's weight day-in, day-out and none of your teammates can be bothered? you'd quit eventually right?
his leaving may be the right thing to do, for both club and himself...
never thought i'd ever write this.. but LFC just isn't big enough for a person like him anymore... and Gerrard is a team player!

Like I said, if Stevie feels he's too big for LFC...then "adios" n all the best to him!
We may not be the richest club in the world, but with the astute stewardship of the management - esp. Beni, I believe we can achieve success again! Whether he wants to be a part of it is up to him really.
I'm sure the Reds wld like to have him around...but if he feels tat $$$ and instant trophies are all he wants, then he probably has to find them elsewhere n become one of "bygones" in our history! -
Also, many have said Stevie's a great leader on field....I say he's yet to be!
A great leader is one who can bring the best out of the team...good eg. is Shearer. So far, he hasn't reached tat level....hope he's not too big-headed to realise it and is able to work on tat! -
personally i feel dat losing stevie will b a big lost man... the team is gonna sink lower n lower... but think of the $$$ we can get, i dont wan him 2 leave but if he does mayb we can buy Aimar as a replacement??? juz a tout... mayb can get some other players as well.... we can win the Carling cup... i got a feeling we can... top 4 mayb not that ez...
