Why Liverpool might go all the way.

Flashback to 1981, Liverpool beat Real Madrid in the final. In that same year, Prince Charles got married. Characters of the popular television hit series Coronation Street, Ken and Deirdre tied the knot.
Today, Liverpool are in the semis, drawn against Chelsea. We all know that Prince Charles got married to Camilla Parker Bowles and amazingly, Ken and Deirdre remarried on Coronation street.
Furthermore, Liverpool finished 5th in the league that year. Today, the reds are lying in that exact same position.Gawks.
This year also has parallels with 1978, when Liverpool also lifted the European Cup. That was the same year Pope John Paul I died and Wales won the rugby grand slam. Today, we all know that Pope John Paul II's funeral was held last friday and Wales are winners of the grand slam tournament.
Adding more bizarreness to this coincidence, in 1978, Liverpool also lost the League Cup final to the then eventual League winners. We all know Chelsea and running away with the league this season and Liverpool lost in the Carling Cup final to Chelsea.
Its bizarre how coincidental such things are. Who can say for sure that the Reds won't be victorious come May in Istanbul? Oh and the Singapore pools odds for Liverpool lifting the cup stands at 5.8.

It's a pity though that Morientes is cup-tied.
Winning the Champions League will mean so much to the club, players, staff and the fans. The prize money and pride. Steven Gerrard will almost certainly stay on for sure. Michael Owen will be left kicking himself for leaving and its the best possible way to kickstart the Rafalution era.
But lets not get too excited yeah? We've still got a long way to go.

I've never seen a Liverpool side so defensively discipline ..... not even in the 80's , when L'pool rules.
Thursday's NewPaper were saying we played like Italian in Turin , and force Juventus to play like British , forcing them to pump long balls after long balls !

Yeah, LFC lost all 3 games. But all my the narrowest of margins. And there were pretty close games.
I'm not saying for sure LFC is gonna win. The truth is that LFC will start as underdogs. All i'm saying is that there is every chance in the world we could see the Reds giving Chelsea a run for their money( which is a lot ) and who knows what will happen. -

Knowing Liverpool of this season.
Whatever match that the fans think that Liverpool can win, they always slip up.
Take the match against Man City.
So, I dun think they can beat Chelsea, PSV and AC Milan.
Just focus on tonight match at Anfield where they have most of the star players around.
Just hope that Stevie dun have any mood change tonight.
Let's trash Spurs and see how in two weeks time. -
By the way, Liverpool will be meeting the Blues at Stamford Bridge on 27th Apr 2005.
