Hargreaves has been linked with a move to the Premiership
Owen Hargreaves has revealed he would be interested in a move to Liverpool after they were linked with a £2.5m deal for the England midfield man.
The 24-year-old is expected to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season.
And he said: "Liverpool are a very interesting club. They are a very strong team and it is clear they have a bright future under Rafael Benitez.
"But really I don't want to say more until the German cup final against Schalke 04 is out of the way.
Spurs and Blackburn have also been linked with Hargreaves, but reports suggest Liverpool are now favourites to complete a summer deal.
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson is understood to have told Hargreaves his chances of making the squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany would be improved by a move to the Premiership.
This Owen coming to Anfield would be most welcome for me .
If he does agree a move , Hamann seemed to be the one destined to go out . So sad . Another 30+ year old player out of Anfield . -

He'll be a good replacement for Hamann and a good backup for Xabi Alonso.

this owen not bad. i can say he's a defensive midfielder. it's rare to see an Englishman playing for a german big club and he has proven he is good player.

I think you can use "utility player" on him. He looks competent on few positions. While he will never be a star, he is definitely a good player to have in your squad.

No offence but Owen Hargreaves is an England regular, a regular bench warmer. The few times i watch him play, not at all fantastic, hit and run and lose the ball. The Bundesliga is not too tough to win, its been Muchen for most of the past decade.Originally posted by Poolman: Average ?

hes just a good player lah..
cos he can play in variety of positions.. right back, anywhere across midfield..
but hes not one who can impose himself as influentially as gerrard or alonso...
see him play for england oso hit the ball run dan stumble fall and lose the ball
