Gonzalez has taken charge of English clubs in Europe this season Spain's Manuel Enrique Gonzalez will take charge of Wednesday's Champions League final between Liverpool and AC Milan, it has been confirmed. The 40-year-old has been an international level referee since 1999.
Gonzalez, who is the third Spaniard to take charge of a Champions League final, was a referee at Euro 2004.
Wednesday's final will be his 19th Champions League game, one of which was Chelsea's game at Bayern Munich earlier this season.
