Raul to Liverpool??

Spanish striker Raul has intimated he may be ready to leave Real Madrid and Liverpool is reported to be his likely destination.
Raul's place in the Real team has come under threat from former Liverpool striker Michael Owen.
Liverpool looks set to make a player-cum-cash deal, looking to bring Raul to Anfield and paving the way for disgruntled striker Baros to the Bernabeu plus an additional 6million pounds, which will surely satisfy both clubs, with Baros and Raul disillusioned with life at Anfield and the Bernabeu respectively.
Imagine Raul and Morienties as our front two strikers (their partnership was deadly, bringing countless trophies to Real Madrid before Moro was replaced by Ronaldo)
Few months ago, no one would've heard of such a story, but with the recent spate of events happening (Liverpool's CL triumph; Raul's willingness to leave Real for greener pastures; being able to rekindle his partnership with Moro as well), one cannot help but believe that such a transfer can just take place -

Cool, we'll see more people buying LFC jersey if deal goes thru which IMO.. very unlikely.

I cannot help but feel Raul is over the hill. He has not been scoring the last few seasons and he might find English defenders a different proposition all together.

And why not... Owen has the best Goal per appeareance ratio in La Liga. That's what strikers are for, to get goals. Raul is still very much good in his own right. i think Raul might be the hidden leader of RM... owen is just second fiddle. the only hope for owen to select on the team is base on raul to injure himself or ronaldo to be off-formed. -

We need a striker , not midfielder leh . We had enuf midfielders . Diao , Biscan , Nunez , Welsh , etc..... Parker ?

Raul's a winner. Having him at LFC will be a good thing. Not to mention the friendship he shares with Morientes, they could forge an ideal partnership upfront.
But Raul comes high wage demands and probably a huge transfer fee. Unless Raul lowers his personal demands, its unlikely that LFC will be able to afford the Spaniard. -
Raul is always treated like a KING in RM.
So, if he expect himself to be treated like KING in Liverpool, he better stay back in RM.
There is no guarantee that he will be given a 1st team placing.
Morientes is the quiet, humble and hardworking players that Liverpool need.
Only Jamie Carragher, Hyypia, Dudek, Riise deserved to be in the 1st team for their consistent performance day in day out.
Stevie is only in for the few minutes of good work and cos he is the captain.
