consistency is very important in winning a league title. liverpool normally play well against top teams but lose regularly to bottom clubs. thus the big gaps in points attained.
i am sure RB can really improved liverpool but not to the extent of winning a league title, at least not in the near future.
of course i hope they can prove me otherwise. but no team has ever won the league with luck alone. -
Oh..and nobody thought little Valencia is going to win the La Liga with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Deportivo etc around. And they won it twice, so there's no luck in there. I am sure everybody knows who is their manager.

frankly speaking,as a chelsea fan.i don't really consider liverpool to be a rival for the league yet.yes benitez could prove me wrong,but however it seems that there is still quite a distance between the top 3 and liverpool.i can tell u la, liverpool's aim for the next season will just to be solidify their ucl qualification places in the league and fourth is realistically the only place i can see them ending up.with gerrard 4th,without gerrard if its a reported 30miliion,depending on how well the new players settles in especially if its a south americn playmaker like aimar could be much longer and liverpool could have a topsy turvy season again.and don't rely on your arse luck in the league it can't save u.the distance between chelsea and liverpool last season was 37 points,guess what its even enough to save a relegated team..look how sad that it.

i as a chelsea would rather wish the 30 million could be used to buy adriano.. wad for buy gerrard..his passion won't be the same for its for chelsea and not his beloved hometown club anymore.and did any if u guys watch confederations?? adriano is soo super hotttt man..big goalscoring machine what we really need.. 50 million and 150k per week i don't mind..

looking at Chelsea now, the only teams that can challenge them seem to be Arsenal.. i'm discounting MUFC coz of the turmoil now...
don't think they need anyone that badly... they can strengthen their team but it's plenty strong as it is.. -
haiz if he wants to go so badly, den should let him go... somehow English players (jus my opinion ) just dun perform as well when playing aboarrd.. especially Liverpool Players.. Ian Rush also ( think he was with AC / inter ) before. i say , sell him and use the money to get other players.

I rather let Smicer sleep with the Cup than Gerrard. How can anyone leave after a night like this. What a load of bull! I think Rafa suspected this. That is why Hamman was given a year extension. True Hamann is no Gerrard. But at least there's still a midfielder left to play with Alonso.
