  Looks like Liverpool is going for Figo after all. I think it is a good buy as long as there's no transfer fee involved. Real Madrid suddenly demanded a transfer fee. But I think he still have a couple of good years in him, which can help Liverpool to consolidate and build up a formidable team for the future.

  If Rick Parry and Benitez can solve Figo's wages' demand , say like paying him 45,000 pounds per week , for a "trial" one year contract , with an option of extending , base on performance , why not ?
  
  Still think that this move will not happened , why ? Benitez never likes SuperStar status players . Gerrard has given him too much headache , not another headache signing .

  according to reports, figo has lowered his wage demands to 60k pounds per week and liverpool have agreed on those terms. it'll be a one year contract.
  
  there's a glitch though. now madrid wants 2 million for the player instead of the initial agreed free transfer.lfc are not paying that sum.

  I wasn't really looking forward to Figo coming in....BUT....knowing what he can do, no harm for him to be here for abt2 yrs or so till a new winger emerged amg the kids.

  Luis Figo has reportedly admitted that his heart is set on a move to Liverpool and he's urging Real Madrid not to stand in his way.
  The Portuguese superstar has this week been strongly linked with a switch to the Reds, while Anfield chief executive Rick Parry and manager Rafael Benitez have both confirmed that signing the player is 'a possibility'.
  
  But confusion continues to surround any possible transfer and speaking from Madrid, Figo has been quoted as saying: "I don't understand, if the club don't see me as part of their plans, why they won't let me go.
  
  "It's close but it's still up in the air and nothing has been finalised. It's my dream to play for Liverpool but dreams don't always come true, I am still waiting."
  
  I don't know should I be happy with Figo coming to Liverpool or not

  Hmmm.... a bit dangerous don't you think, given that he has not yet bought a replacement. If Figo is coming, then of course Nunez can go. But now only Garcia plays in that position. He sometimes put Cisse there but I don't know why.
