I think Brother Poolman will be happy if the transport company decided to reduce the rent of the taxi per day.
Increasing the taxi will only make more people take the taxi at the specificed time.
Increasing the time does not increase the number of customers.
The reason why so many people gave up driving taxi is due to the $90 rent per day.
The taxi company are just too eager to get more golden eggs that they are killing the chickens.
The transport company is just transfering the problem to the pitiful consumer.
The Royal Family is getting on the nerves from the people that they are supposed to serve. -
Okay la , not much effect .
Those a-s-s-h-o-l-e management still get the bigger share .
Booking fee charge $4.00 , they keep $0.70 , we keep only $3.30 .
Off peak hour : Booking fee $2.50 , they keep $0.50 , we keep only $2.00 .
25 seconds per $0.10c is good only for traffic jam , other than , short or long distance , same price .
Reason for increase in 25 seconds thing , to encourage us to go city area , city area after 5pm terrible jam everywhere .
Reason for implementing the booking charge $4.00 from 5pm - 11pm was to encourage relief drivers to drive night shift rather than day shift .
Many hirer's got no relief driver because night shift not many driver want to drive , risky .
Robbery la , kana murder la , kana ar-cha-ko la....dirty job . -

I still remembered they "jumped" the flag-down from $1.20 to $2.40. With that type of fare increase they should not ask for any hike in another 20 years.

uncle poolman, what's wrong with the taxi companies? seems to me that everytime i am in sg, they have some problems with the management etc.
i guess i'll find out in a month or so

Rental still at $92.47 per day , although COE has dropped significantly .
New companies don't do any good , only create more vacancy among the taxi companies . Which mean some Hirer has to do both a hirer's and relief's job , we call that " solo ! One man show ! Which is tiring at times . Solo doesn't mean more income .
Diesel prices has gone up as high as 75% more . Still the company insisted no rental deductions .
Traffic Police also one kind nowadays , many drivers kena Camera for speeding . Company don't do anything to help , I guess they're trying to say : " Your fault what , why speed ? I never tell u to speed what !
Many more other problems coming out after the new pricing . -

They did increase $1.40 then jump to $2.20 , then $2.40 .

Sign a deal with LFC lor! Like the one Man Utd signed with AirAsia. Sure get a lot of deals and goodies. Then your cab get lots of publicity and sponsorship. They can then paint the Logo and color of Liverpool FC on your cab. Wah striking man.
Passengers can get to watch matches in you cab, buy Liverpool's kits at discount rate and your boots won't be empty what!.. lots of Liverpool FC stuff in it. This way passengengers pay a little bit higher and you earn more lor.
Your cab can then put the word "You'll never travel alone". Then you have the Liverpool crest on top of you cab. You make this offer to Liverpool FC and they pay you for the ads and you also get extra money what. But if you want this to work, you must give the traffic mata and transport ministry a cut of the sponsor fess lah. Sure can one lah... give i a go lah...

the reason they gave was, to help cabbies earn more, blah blah blah...
