So the pasar-malam has ended....we've got some, n "lost" some!
Wat are ur tots - positives n not-so!? Do u tink we have a better squad compared 2 last season? Wat are ur expectations with the current squad?

The missing out part really makes me wonder,what a team pool will be with them..

Not sure how the missing pieces - a Ctr-back n a Rite-winger - will come n haunt us, but we do hv a more decent squad compared 2 last time tis yr....at least they are wat Beni wants.
The pluses are at the back, we've a new but seemingly more reliable GK, and a familiar back 4. MF has been boosted by a promising Sissoko. While on the left side, we are flooded with options; it's rather thin on the rite - I see Garcia, Cisse or Pongolle plying there for the nxt few mths. The other weak area is our frontline - but hopefully Crouch/Cisse/Morenties can prove us all wrong.
On the whole, I can oni count on my faith in Beni - he did achieve some things not expected of him last season! So with a squad more 2 his likings, I'm quietly sure tat tis season will be better than last - let's hope the table will reflect the same!

Actually 2M for Figo?They never tried negiotiating izzit always want free..Maybe if they bargain earlier 1.5M also can,plus don't forget Figo is superstar,he brings alot of marketing potential to Liverpool,and Liverpool will gain from him too..Imagine a decent supply of crosses proven at the highest level,plus if they do business like RM where RM is entitled to 50% of all sponsorship deals i don't see liverpool losing much..

That is the problem. Principles. In this day and age, where got principle one? Just look at how Chelsea, Arsenal and Man U got their man. Because of their principle, McManamann goes for free, Owen goes cheaply, Diouf is one huge loss and Diao has no where to go. RM is laughing all the way to the bank because they have just made 100 % profit from a player in just 1 year. Look at who is crying in the corner. For macca's n owen's case, it's a matter of trust more than anything else. These are players with the club for so long and I dun tink we have treated them badly! Yet, they played us out! :O
Diouf and Diao were mistakes made by GH...2b fair, it's more like a gamble
As for RM, they can laugh 2 the bank....but for their misdeeds (n Owen's), they ended last season with nothing! But guess wat we've won!
We may not be quite as succesful as we were in the past, but I believe we are in good hands....n I'm proud of them! -
This shows that Pool do not have scheming financial controllers..They need people like Kenyon to do the business..

We are in need of a winger and a centre back ..... but see .... we've got Josemi who can deploy as centre back in place of Hyypia and Carragher sometimes of the season , against some weaker teams , that will be good idea , the most he stand-in there , will be until January .
As for that winger post ..... Kewell still haven't wake up his idea , if he don't prove himself this season , I'm not surprised he got that kicked from Benitez the end of the season . Let's pray hard Kewell create a miracle in his form .
Also ...... what's the problem deploying Stevie Finnan in that winger post ?
I thought he's more than a right back .

Hmm... think liverpool shouldn't have let smicer go. He can play on the right. Anyway, i'm thinking poborsky might come back to the premiership to play for villa with berger and baros there.

Failure 2 fill the spots we wanted oni means other players/youngsters have the chance 2 prove themselves....so it's not necessarily all dooms.
For CB, we hv Whitbread...even Traore or Josemi
can be used. On the rite, looks like it's Gracia, Cisse, Pongolle or Potter will fill the role. Even Finnan can be used with Barragan covering him on the rite. I'm oso hoping Kewell can soon repay Beni's his faith/patience.
So baring serious injuries (*touch wood*), we shd be ok. Let's hope we get the players we want during Jan06
