Very good performance in terms of closing down opponents and pushing on forward by LFC.
I could sense the urgency everytime they got the ball. Alonso was my mind of the match and I thought Sissoko was brilliant alongside him too. Interestingly, Rafa played Gerrard on the right and Garcia on the left instead of Zenden as I had anticipated. I thought Gerrard had a decent game. Not as influential as when he is in the middle but he definitely brought a lot of balance back into the squad.
Garcia is no doubt a key player for LFC. He was superb today. [b]Morientes really worked his socks off.
Overall work ethic was outstanding. If only they can maintain it at this level week in week out. They will be tough to play against.

Cisse needs a bit of sharpening in front of goals , Ian Rush must be laughing from the stand .

There's some bizarre tactical switch by Alan Pardew last night ....
When L'pool sent in Zenden for Cisse , he went to the left . I think Pardew thought that we're going to play 4-5-1 , with Nando as the sole-forward , and he brought out Repka , and played with a three-man centre defense , which caused their down fall .
Instead , L'pool sent Garcia partnering Nando , and Zenden to the left , and Bolo got his second , he exploited Repka's hole left Behind .
Player's blunder ? No ! Manager's blunder more like it . -
At the rate Cisse is progressing , i think Benitez is in a dilemma ... whether or not to release him in january .

When I saw the starting line up... I thought thats the best team but still it don't look like a best team. Not a team that will be feared by the rest.
Anyway, without Traore, Josemi and Crouch... its a match half won.
Morientes failed to score again but I must say he work his socks off. Making himself a nuisance to the defence.
Gerrard was a bit... restrain. There are chances when he will take a shot but last night he kept passing. I wonder was that the instructions from Benitez. Seems to me like the instruction is, only Gracia that joker can take shots, the rest have to pass to team mate. Good thing Zenden disobey Benitez and took a shot when he sees the chance.

More like Benitez instruct them to pass to Cisse , and that joker tried all sorts of spectacular , with no goals .

Putting Gerrard on the right is a masterstroke, although he acts like a McManamann.
Now, Rafa has finally bring back balance to the Force. No Traouble, no Jo-si-mi, no Whitebread, no Crotch.

No crouch or else score for sure and xabi alonso is the insipiration for the night and zenden score the 2nd goal good job.
