By mentioning that Anderlecht is a LOUSY team, and that it is NOTHING SO GREAT about beating Anderlecht, I'm taking it as if you're taking credit off any team that plays and beats Anderlecht.Originally posted by dragg:i am not trying to take credit off the team. there is nothing so great about beating anderlecht, be it chelsea or liverpool.
Peter Crouch had a few chances at goal, but the headers went wide.Originally posted by Orions Belt:another very good performance.
4-4-2 seems to be the right playing system for the team. Gerrard on the right maintains balance.
But I was pretty dissappointed with Peter Crouch. I thought he was very poor. Cisse Morientes partnership will be better.
Garcia had another good outing. He was constantly causing problems for the Anderlecht defense. He is a key player for liverpool.
yeah man. Kewell's hairdo wasOriginally posted by Shigemichi Take:Peter Crouch had a few chances at goal, but the headers went wide.
He looked lost especially with that stupid grin on his face whenever he missed.
He should have buried it in the goal when Nando's shot was saved by the keeper and had crouch at his mercy.
Luis Garcia had a great game today. But he gave away a few passes due to his fanciful footwork. But he redeemed himself by winning the ball back and scoring a superb goal.
Cisse was lucky to get that goal as he WAS in an offside position upon receiving the pass from Kewel.( who cares, it was a goal anyway. )
Congrats to Reds who won the game with a superb performance.
Plus credit shud be given to Sissoko too. That lad had a great game.
Anyway, what's with Kewel's new hairdo? two ponytails?
Yeah. and he looked womanly with that kinda hairdoOriginally posted by Orions Belt:yeah man. Kewell's hairdo was
look like some chinese inspired scholar cum swordsman like hairstyle.
yeah. But hairdo aside, I thought he did okay for the 10 mins he was on the pitch. Looked good playing as a 2nd striker behind cisse.Originally posted by Shigemichi Take:Yeah. and he looked womanly with that kinda hairdo
soon he will be injured again.Originally posted by Orions Belt:yeah. But hairdo aside, I thought he did okay for the 10 mins he was on the pitch. Looked good playing as a 2nd striker behind cisse.
Well, he needs a few more games under his belt to be back to his old form again.Originally posted by Orions Belt:yeah. But hairdo aside, I thought he did okay for the 10 mins he was on the pitch. Looked good playing as a 2nd striker behind cisse.
Thats a possibility, but i rather be a little more optimistic. With the squad rotation policy going on and the depth of the squad at the moment, Kewell won't be playing many games straight. Hopefully, that will help him fully recover from his past injuries and start contributing to the team more consistently.Originally posted by dragg:soon he will be injured again.
Yeah. But i dun think he'll get back to his old form when he's in Leeds Utd.Originally posted by Orions Belt:Thats a possibility, but i rather be a little more optimistic. it is time he pays back for his massive transfer fees.Originally posted by Orions Belt:Thats a possibility, but i rather be a little more optimistic. 3 Million punds is quite a cheap deal leh...Originally posted by dragg:it is time he pays back for his massive transfer fees.
he pocketed 7 million pounds.Originally posted by Shigemichi Take:3 Million punds is quite a cheap deal leh...
Is it?Originally posted by dragg:he pocketed 7 million pounds.
thats what i remember. he got more than leeds united. a lot of hoo-ha then. if i did not get it wrong he actually turned down chelsea, saying liverpool has more prospect.Originally posted by Shigemichi Take:Is it?
I dun understand either. He should be brought out and not Nando who had a better game than him. I can't understand why RB bought that beanpole in the first place.Originally posted by Patrik:Finnan was superb last night.
Luis Garcia and Xabi Alonso were all over the field.
Gerrard play well last night.
Sissoko had a good game too.
Peter Crouch is a total disappointment. He is just there to add up to 11 players.I cant see the reason why R.B brought him.He din make any contributions to Liverpool at all.

What about Erik Meijer? The german if i'm not mistaken? during titi camara era.Originally posted by Patrik:In my personal point of view,Heskey is better than this Crouch.
Definitely, any ex Liverpool strikers wld win this Beanpole hands down.
Robbie Fowler,Micheal Owen,Titi Camara,Nicolas Anelka.
fowler is also nothing now.Originally posted by Shigemichi Take:What about Erik Meijer? The german if i'm not mistaken? during titi camara era.
I'd prefer Liverpool's GOD, Fowler to that beanpole. He's more of the complete striker. I remeber there's one season when Reds drew with Devils 2-2 with Fowler's cracking goal against Shemicheal.
I doubt that beanpole could do that.
The deal was 5 million.Originally posted by dragg:it is more than that. there was a lot of cover-up.
