Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho admitted his side were deservedly beaten by Real Betis in Seville.
The Barclays Premiership champions were defeated 1-0 by a goal from Dani after 28 minutes, their first defeat in the competition this season.
'We have nothing to argue with, we have no defence because the performance in the first half was too bad,' Mourinho told ITV4.
'Betis deserved the victory because of their attitude in the first half and how they defended in the second half.'
He added: 'We have to look at ourselves, to what didn't work, and try to sort it.
'We are a great team. We weren't a great team tonight but if we are a great team we have to return to our standards.'

i don't get it..why do people give chelsea soo much flak for losing a single game esp in a european competition..even if liverpool were to lose one single match as the european champions,i doubt they will receive even half as much as what chelsea are getting..

It's more dificult to play football when every opponent played extremely cautious , defensive and focus .
It's even more difficult when opponent knows how good u are . -

Chelsea is meeting Man Utd on Sunday.
Unless Keane is playing, which is impossible after the complaint he made on the rest of his team mates.
I really dun see how Man Utd can overcome Chelsea.
After seeing Man Utd play this morning, I think Alex have lost the grip of his players as the second half is worse than the first half.
Man Utd is very dis-organised.
Chelsea dun become lousy just because of losing one match.
As for Liverpool, it meant nothing if they are still struggling against team like Fulham.
No one is very sure that they will win against Aston Villa this sat.
Just ask the punters.
The only thing that I can say about Liverpool is that Nando, Cisse and Crouch are not suitable to be the lone striker for the 4-5-1 system.
Ah Ben is STARTING to realise that the team gel better with the 4-4-2 system.
So, I just hope that they carry on the good work with the 4-4-2 system and stop playing useless long ball. -
