Jermaine Pennant - Left/ Right attacking midfielder
Heavily linked by the UK Press. He has good pace and is more of a traditional winger. He will not cost as much as Joaquin or Simao and he has more experience in EPL. 5 million pounds will do the trick.
Jan Kromkamp - Right fullback/ attacking midfielder
He is a confirmed signing undergoing his medical. He can play right wing and or act as a cover for Finnan. By the way...Kromkamp is one of the nominees for this year's UEFA Champions League "Best right full-back" award.
Another rumour that surfaced recently. Liverpool is trying to get Henrik Larsson on loan from Barcelona. Henrik is finding it difficult to play regular football in Spain. He is not interested in a permanent move to England (he wants to end his career in Sweden). But according to his agent, Liverpool is discussing the possibility of loaning him for six months.
Should be an interesting summer. -

Newspaper reports today claim that Liverpool have agreed a transfer fee with Brondby for Danish centre back Daniel Agger.
It is reported that the fee has been set at £5.5million which is the figure that's been doing the rounds for some time now so no surprises there if the reports are accurate.
Meanwhile Josemi has revealed that Jose Reina encouraged him to sign for Villarreal in a deal that see Jan Kromkamp come the other way.
Josemi said: "Villarreal are one of the great clubs of Spain. I come here because I believe that this team does not have limits.
"There is a great establishment of players, many internationals, and that is what, in the end, has made my decision.
"Pepe said to me that I must come here. He has spoken wonders to me and he has done a lot because I'm now here. I hope that everything he told me becomes reality."

I'm from Denmark and i happen to have seen Daniel Agger play for Brondby many times. All the hype about this kid is only because he's the real deal. I havent seen an as talented danish player at this age in a very long time.
He had his debut last season at the age of 19 when brondby sold their centerback andreas jakobsen to Southhampton. Many questioned the teams ability to cope without him but then this young kid started playing in the first team. Daniel Agger was his name as you can quess an he took the danish league with storm and he was very influential in Brondby winning the championship the same year.
When Martin Laursen and Per Krøldrup was injured he also got his debut for the danish national team where he was told to step in. Even at this level he also managed to establish himself. As you might have seen he also played against England where he kept a certain Wayne Rooney very quiet even though he scored a meaningless goal in the end with the danes already a couple of goals up.
So I can assure guys that this buy would be a steal. 5.5 million pounds is quite high in the danish league because of the limited finances in danish football so this sum is definetely the maximum we are gonna pay. -

Academica defender Ze Castro is aware of interest from Liverpool but is refusing to discuss his future at any great length.
The youngster is wanted by Liverpool, Parma and Marseille as he will be a free agent in the summer.
After suggesting he will not be signing fresh terms with Academica, the Portugal Under-21 international is waiting to see which offers materialise.
"I have knowledge of that," he told O Jogo when quizzed on Liverpool's interest. "But there is nothing already determined because I have time for reflection and to define my future."
The 22-year-old is willing to leave Coimbra in order to raise his profile and a switch to Anfield would surely be an attractive proposition.
Reds chief Rafa Benitez recently admitted having "four or five" centre backs on his list of targets for the New Year as he looks to beef up his squad.

Negotiations between Liverpool and Benfica for winger Simao Sabrosa have stalled after Anfield executives became tired of the Portuguese club constantly trying to raise the transfer fee.
A "take it or leave it" offer has been left on the table by Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry and manager Rafael Benitez is already considering other options.
