Got it right !Originally posted by Poolman:Hmm ... looked like L'pool playing for a draw . How can it be ?
Played very defensively , not much penetration towards goal .
Gerrard must score from the curler , but ....... still 0-0 .
Expect L'pool to come out more offensive , and fury !
Predict 1-0 to L'pool .
Important to deserve it ? Well .... it's a morale boosting win , a win that before the game , we wanted a win , and they go for it , and got it , don't we deserve the win ?Originally posted by dragg:is it important if they deserved it?
thats exactly my point. to any fans as long as their club wins it didnt matter. even if they dont deserve the fans will still think they deserve it.Originally posted by Poolman:Important to deserve it ? Play well and win , three points in the bag , it's what we care .
I agree abit , not quite an exciting match .Originally posted by stellazio:ok la boring match, but overall they won..
I was wondering why crouch wasn't substituted.Originally posted by RSP:I thought Crouch had a really poor game...
Kewell did quite well coming on for Cisse..who was absolutely ineffective upfront..
It was a typical smash and grab kind of game. I won't say its the most entertaining of matches I've seen, they are certainly capable of better.
Nevertheless, a good win!
Now for midweek Sunderland! Lets make it 5 straight Premiership wins!
Maybe Rafa's trying to cover his own ass for signing Crouch..the more minutes Crouch has, the more practice he gets and hopefully score one?Originally posted by Shigemichi Take:I was wondering why crouch wasn't substituted.
He's ineffective and if i'm not mistaken, he had a nil shot at goal.
I'd prefer Nando to actually partner with Cisse. With crouch around, Reds are juz playing like they did under the management of Houllier.
A tall striker to feed the ball to a fast striker. ( Heskey and Owen era. )
Other teams can predict the way Reds are playing and all they gotta do is close beanpole down.
Anyone disagree>
actually come to think of it, crouch has proven to live up being a great distractor.Originally posted by RSP:Maybe Rafa's trying to cover his own ass for signing Crouch..the more minutes Crouch has, the more practice he gets and hopefully score one?
Yeah, I prefer Morientes and Cisse upfront. Even Garcia Morientes up front is better than having Crouch up there.
Crouch is better used as a last resort...like against Villa, brought on in the last 10 mins to try to be a distractor.
Crouch was substituted during the 81 minute by Fernando MorientesOriginally posted by Shigemichi Take:I was wondering why crouch wasn't substituted.
