Newcastle United midfielder Scott Parker admits he's devastated to be missing the Boxing Day clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
Parker picked up a fifth yellow card of the season in Newcastle's impressive 4-2 win at West Ham last weekend and is suspended for the trip to Merseyside as a result.
"As soon as I was booked on Saturday, I realised I'd miss the Liverpool game, which is very sad," he says.
"We are doing well at the moment and we are now looking to kick on, and I want to be a part of it. But I'm sure the rest of the players will do well at Liverpool, and hopefully I'll be back for the Charlton game."

Newcastle looked very strong with Parker roaming in the park for the last few games , especially against Arsenal .
Now without Parker , i doubt they have the ability to assist Owen in any way .
